Taurus Szn Report

The Season of Sensuality and Intention

The Season of Sensuality and Intentionality

Taurus, as the fixed earth sign, is carrying the baton to further our spring visions, intentions, and ideas. Aries season blessed us with passion and energy to initiate a new chapter in our lives. Taurus season is here with the energy to sustain and nurture what is sprouting. We are getting more personal with what we have intended to grow. Being present with the experience of growing and the work it takes over time to make it all possible. Aries season was about passion and motivation. Taurus season is about maintaining discipline and gratitude during the process when gratification is delayed. We must not wait until the end results to allow ourselves to feel good about what we’re doing. Taurus season is about doing the work and celebrating the small wins along the way.

The first week of Taurus season is quite busy with impactful aspects and astrological transits. Taurus season commences on April 19th on the same day that Venus, the ruler of Taurus, forms a conjunction with Mercury who is in retrograde motion until it goes direct the following week on April 25th. In between the commencement of Taurus season and the conclusion of Mercury’s retrograde, there will be a conjunction between Jupiter and Uranus on the 21st and the Scorpio Full Moon on April 23rd.

This conjunction between Jupiter and Uranus is important because it is a transit that only happens every 14 years. Jupiter is the ruler of wisdom, faith, luck, abundance, and long-distance/foreign travel. Uranus is the planet of eureka moments, abrupt shifts, innovation, rebellion, eccentricity, and futurism. These planets bond over the mission of pushing us beyond our limited perception of possibilities. Jupiter offers us hope through new positive experiences that help to expand our lens to see the bigger picture. Uranus offers us events that remind us to shake the table by challenging the norm and the courage to break restrictive rules to experience greater freedom for ourselves and others. This conjunction taking place in Taurus prompts collective disruption and expansion as it relates to women, consumerism, currency, environmental issues, food and agriculture, the beauty industry and it’s standards, and art. We will see how changes related to these Venusian themes are handled politically by world leaders and how modern-day technology continues to rally the collective to take matters of protecting human rights into their own hands. Usually, Uranus transits inspire abrupt changes with rapidly felt effects but this conjunction occurring in Taurus will probably make it so that the change isn’t so instantaneous. Thankfully, Jupiter brings the benefic energy so this conjunction is bound to bring positive change. This conjunction inspires the collective to open their minds to a reality in which we honor the beauty of nature and humanity by acknowledging how deserving we all are of pleasure, a healthy planet, and the luxuries of life. We will see the evidence of how our radical, liberation-oriented practices are paying off and this will serve as positive reinforcement to continue to create even greater change.

The evidence is already here if we are steadily paying attention to the ongoing genocide in Gaza and some of the recent turn of events. Iran recently attacked Israel. On April 15, there were several disruptive protests across the United States to show support for Palestine. In Chicago, they were able to shut down two runways at the O’Hare International Airport. Meanwhile, in San Francisco protestors shut down the Golden Gate Bridge. These recent protests at such magnitudes continue to inspire individuals with what is possible when we utilize our strength in numbers. This has Uranus all over it as it takes disruption to normalcy to affect the change we desire. An international airport is Jupiter’s domain of international and long-distance travel. Of course, Mercury Retrograde in Aries lends a hand too, shutting down traffic on the highway causing cars to be at a standstill and a lot of irate drivers. Recently, videos have surfaced of Palestinians in the West Bank tearing down sections of the apartheid wall that separates Israel from Gaza. This destruction of the wall took place at the same time that Iran, Iraq, and Yemen sent missiles into Israel territory. The physical destruction of the wall translates to this conjunction’s theme of eradicating these restrictive barriers that are oppressive to human rights. These manmade borders are illusions of separation that dishonor and disregard indigenous people and the land they are connected to. This particular aspect between Jupiter and Uranus has historical context as a precursor to or an escalation of war. The last Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in 1941 took place during World War II and the Holocaust. 1941 was known to be the most fatal year in history in terms of deaths related to or caused by war. However, due to the economic benefits of war, it also brought the US out of the great depression and the need for men to fight in the war brought women into the workforce on the home front and led to another wave in the fight for women’s rights. The last time the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction took place in Taurus prior to 1941 was in 1858 when tension was rising between the North and South based on slavery’s legality in the newly adopted U.S. territories. The Civil War would begin two years later as a result of the dispute over slavery and land.

The arrival of Taurus season is colored by the conjunction of its ruler, Venus, with the retrograding Mercury. We begin the season with introspection and discussion around love, relationships, finances, values, and pleasure. Before we can really sink into the pleasure of affection and connection we need to converse about boundaries, intentions, and expectations. This could help to conclude some of the conflicts or challenges that arose and have been dragged out through Aries season during this last week of Mercury’s retrograde motion. Venus is related to harmony and conflict resolution grounded by love so this could be a reminder of the value of our relationships and effectively communicating to preserve the relationships we value. Mercury rules commerce and Venus rules money so this is also a time to revisit your budget or financial goals to make sure you are on track and to resituate things if your money management hasn’t been the best. In this conjunction, Venus brings its benefic energy to any misunderstandings or mismanagement so that the mishaps actually may be pleasant coincidences or lead to errors that surprisingly work in your favor. This could also be the beginning of certain flirtatious communications that can blossom into pleasurable experiences.

The Scorpio Full Moon on April 23rd will form a T-square between the Sun, the Moon, and Pluto. A T-square in astrology happens when two astrological bodies oppose each other and they both form a square to another planet. A full moon is always the result of an opposition between the Sun and the Moon, so when we look at aspects to the full moon we must also consider the aspects to the Sun. This Full Moon square to Pluto, Scorpio’s ruling planet, will uproot our fears and the grief that comes from the way fear prevents us from truly living in authenticity, pleasure, and softness. We are asked to address and affirm the parts of ourselves that feel resistant to the intimacy and trust that it takes to have real meaningful, emotionally fulfilling experiences. We are reminded that our fear is here to protect us from pain and demise but when fear controls it ultimately leads to our slow, painful demise while offering us the illusion of “safety” which in reality is actually restriction. We are asked to transform our idea of emotional safety and break out of the zone of discomfort that we have allowed ourselves to get comfortable with. We must destroy the harsh walls and defenses we have built that keep us trapped in order to experience the closeness we desire yet withhold from ourselves. Pluto is in Aquarius which clues into more of what the energy of this Scorpio moon may bring. Aquarius as the rebellious yet communal, fixed air sign that is coined as the water bearer, reminds us that we must break out of the societal molds that prohibit us from slowing down to be present with our emotions because it disrupts the flow of productivity. We are asked to forsake the culture of individualism so that we may seek connection and support through the midst of our growth without being paralyzed by our own fear of vulnerability and distrust of other’s ability to be a safe space. We must do the uncomfortable things of opening up so that we can open new opportunities for intimacy, transformation, and to experience the fullness and depth of our own vulnerable authenticity.

Mercury stations direct on April 25th however this is not the true marker of the finale of the retrograde because the post-shadow period persists for the following two weeks. The end of Mercury’s retrograde motion can indicate that some of the discombobulated and chaotic energy it brought is finally wrapping up. Mercury retrograde’s intention is to bring clarity by forcing your attention towards what needs to be addressed. It can be an unpleasant experience that seems to serve no purpose until hindsight allows us to see why we needed to go through the challenge and what we gained from using our problem-solving skills to work through it. This retrograde in Aries feels like a great precursor to Taurus season.  We were able to get conflict and grievances out in the open so that we can (hopefully) go into Taurus season with peaceful hearts and minds ready to lean into the embrace of what we hold dear without holding onto the weight of anything being left unaddressed.

An important message to keep in mind during this season, you cannot possess pleasure. Pleasure is a temporary experience that is just as sure to take leave as it is to return for us to enjoy it once more. In a society where so many of us are chasing dopamine (especially those of us who are neurodivergent), it’s important to remember that everything won’t be enjoyable and that a quick fix of instantaneous gratification is not always accessible. Even when it is attainable it’s not always within our best interest. Sometimes pleasure is not just something that happens but it is something we must create. Sometimes we must find our own pleasure in what is not inherently pleasurable. It is easy to resent the mundanity of work but it takes real intentional effort to find enjoyment in what is considered ordinary. Taurus season will surely extend opportunities to relish in the moment but we must remember that the moment is what we make it for the times that the gratification is not immediately apparent.

As Taurus season continues, at the end of April we see Venus and Mars ingress into their respective signs of rulership. On April 29th, Venus joins the Sun, Jupiter, and Uranus in Taurus. The following day, April 30th, Mars finally makes its way into Aries after Venus has made its exit from the sign. Venus joining the stellium in it’s own sign of rulership will surely turn up the luscious, pleasure-oriented energy. We’ll be savoring the flavors and sitting deeper and longer in our gratitude for the simple pleasure of life. May we lean deeper into the sweet embrace of our friends and relish in the taste of a lover’s lips on ours letting our eyes stay closed even once the kiss is over to retain the memory of the taste. Venus in Taurus is at home in the sign that represents the physical aspects of Venus. We may be spending more money on better quality products and allowing ourselves to enjoy the luxuries we can afford that we would usually deny ourselves. Venus in Taurus encourages us to up the price as we recognize our value and what we deserve. Venus in Taurus reminds us of our ability to attract people, things, and experiences we desire by staying grateful for and seeing the value of what we already have. Venus in Taurus reminds us to see the beauty, feel the love, experience the energy of creation, and taste the sweetness that already exists all around us. Be mindful of being gluttonous, asking for seconds before you have even really appreciated and taken in what you already have. Don’t let fear of lack cause you to try to possess or hoard the pleasure when you can just be present with what you enjoy now and know that even if the moment ends another pleasurable experience will come.

Mars being in its domicile sign of Aries is the balance to Venus in Taurus that gives us the drive to not just sit around and wait for what we want. We have the balance of drive to go after what we desire paired with the ability to be consistent, still, and stable enough to allow it to meet us halfway. There is a time to pursue and there is a time to allow what is for you to make its way to you, ultimately both are happening simultaneously sometimes whether we realize it or not. Under this energy, charm is paired with drive to create the art of “wooing”. This Aries Mars makes us brave and audacious enough to take the risk while Venus in Taurus helps us to feel worthy enough to be rewarded for our action. Venusian and Martian energy go hand in hand so it feels serendipitous when they are side by side in their respective sides of domicile. Venus is like the bait, it’s incentive. Venus is the enticing words of persuasion with the promise of guaranteed satisfaction that inspires the Martian urge to act fast to see the fantasy through. Venus is the dangling carrot that inspires the Martian urge to chase after whatever challenges us for the sake of feeling victorious in getting what we want. Venus is the dopamine we seek and Mars is the relentless drive to follow the dopamine! In their respective domiciles, the path towards dopamine feels clearer with fewer obstacles.

On the second day of May, Pluto begins its own retrograde motion that will last until October 11th. This retrograde’s effects may not be as fast-paced and apparent as those of our closer neighbor Mercury whose impact is always quite obvious and immediate. Pluto’s retrograde in the sign of Aquarius will regress back into the last degree of Capricorn. This shall bring more discussion to and possibly appeals to decisions that have been made by government and institutions of power. Aquarius, ruled in modern astrology by Uranus, is associated with traits such as humanitarianism, eccentricity, radical thinking, and innovativeness. Pluto in Aquarius has already seen the USA government attempting to ban the widely used app, TikTok. We see the powers that want to censor information in order to stop the progressive radicalization that comes with people being able to educate and organize through channels that the government can’t regulate. At the end of Pluto in Capricorn, we saw the banning of “sensitive” historical curriculum for the sake of those in power being able to rewrite history in a light more flattering to them. Pluto in Aquarius is where we will see the effects of technology and how the future pans out when we do not actually learn from our past. We see the way technology can empower and unite the masses. However, now with the deceptive nature of AI, we also see the dark side of how technology can be abused and used for malicious intent. People are consistently advocating for greater regulation of AI as it can be used to create false lewd images of people or to create false media that can cause widespread misinformation. There are greater implications of the ability to falsify digital media and documents that can be criminalistic, dangerous, and even fatal. Pluto’s retrograde asks the collective to investigate their cognitive dissonance and groupthink to see in what ways we the people align ourselves with the systems in power out of fear. We are asked to question the ways in which the systems that are said to be built for the people by the people don’t actually serve the people. We begin to understand that we as people have power and we must reclaim it.

On May 3rd, Mars makes a sextile to Pluto while it is just a day into its retrograde motion. This sextile from Mars will be a supportive push to really set off the effects of Pluto’s retrograde which we are usually slower to feel. At the beginning of May, we may see more physical forms of protest as the people feel empowered to stand up against the system more and more. There continues to be a resounding reminder of the strength in numbers as people continue to realize they are not alone in their frustration and they gear up to confront the systems that frustrate them. This is a time when people are not willing to be as complicit with the inhumane acts of the oppressive systems, even when the acts are not obviously and directly impacting them. The sextile from Aries Mars to Aquarius Pluto represents pissed-off individuals allowing their personal anger to align them with and to support the collective efforts towards liberation via the destruction of imperialist powers. People are ready to forcefully, passionately, and persistently push to dismantle these deceptive institutions that have promised to protect their people and their rights but continue to do the opposite. No more cognitive dissonance that forces us to alter our beliefs to justify our behavior or the behavior of our world leaders. Now we choose to accept the discomfort and rage that comes with being misled for so long. Pluto retrograde is here to revisit and dig up truths long buried under facades of freedom.

The New Moon in Taurus taking place on May 7th is an opportunity to enjoy some extra magic from the exalted moon. Exaltation in astrology is when an astrological body is in a sign that is not its home sign but is a sign that it is just super excited to be able to express its energy through. The moon is related to emotions, the mother, our intimate inner world, and our personal needs for security. Taurus is a sign that is related to nurturing, sweetness, stability, coziness, and being present with pleasure. The Moon in Taurus inspires us to honor our needs AND our wants. This Taurus New Moon is an opportunity to set intentions around expanding our comfort zone in order to increase our threshold for pleasure. The preceding Scorpio Full Moon will have illuminated our grief and opened us up to be able to feel the depth of our emotions even through discomfort which also makes the space for us to feel greater emotional highs. This Taurus season and New Moon is about acknowledging that there is more; more to love, more to experience, more to feel, more to enjoy, and more to be grateful for. Saturn forms a sextile with the moon during its time of newness which means Saturn (the planet of discipline, limitations, time, and authority) is supporting us in our quest for more. Saturn brings the gentle reminder that as we ask for more we are also asked to do more and be more intentional. Thankfully though, with this aspect rather than humbling us Saturn will be encouraging us to take more authority over our lives and get our affairs in order so that when more comes we actually have the proper space and infrastructure for it. We are asking for what we want AND that we have the ability to maintain it once we do get it. The auspicious aspects between Pluto, Jupiter, and Neptune also offer support from our faith, imagination, and reclamation of power as a collective to help give a boost to the already exalted energy from the moon. The fact that Taurus’ ruling planet of Venus will be in the rush of Aries and the new moon will be conjunct to Uranus, so this new moon may mean that whatever we intend materializes quickly and in unexpected ways or through unimaginable means. The how and when may surprise you so just be sure of WHAT you’re asking for, WHY you’re asking for it, and what you plan to DO with it.

Mercury ingresses into Taurus on May 15th to join the Taurus stellium party for the last few days of the Sun’s dwelling in the sign. Mercury in Taurus will be refreshing clarity and certainty in the mind after the frustrating, confusing, and chaotic vibes of the planet’s retrograde in Taurus. When Mercury is in Taurus our minds are made and we are sure of what we know. Our opinions and thoughts are quite set and it takes solid, hard evidence for us to even consider us to consider another option. We have our mind on making sensible decisions with our money, our work, and our time while also being able to balance having fun and being social. Mercury in Taurus means we will be speaking slower and from a place of kindness in contrast to Mercury in Aries quick and at times brass style of communication. Mercury in Taurus gives us the time to collect our thoughts and exercise more practical logic. Mercury in Taurus is when we are keeping in mind quality and value when it comes to the words we say and the type of socializing we choose to do. We don’t want to be wasteful with our words nor do we want to just engage in conversation without there being something to gain from the exchange, even if it’s something intangible.

Taurus season is a time to be picky and selective with yourself, your time, and your energy. This is a season that reminds us that the deeper we are able to meet ourselves and our emotions the higher heights we can reach of pleasure and feelings of worthiness. How can we be picky and selective in our choices when we are not acquainted well enough with ourselves or our pleasure in order to choose what we desire wholeheartedly? To make a choice aligned with our fulfillment we must fully choose ourselves and deem ourselves worthy of being chosen by what we choose. Let us exercise gratitude, gentleness, and celebration with ourselves as we continue to ask for and give ourselves more. We are so deserving of everything we desire.

Venus Retrograde

Venus in Retrograde from July 22 through September 3rd

On July 22, 2023, the lovely planet of Venus joins Neptune, Pluto, and Saturn in retrograde motion. However, we start feeling the effects of Venus’s retrograde a couple of weeks prior to the actual commencement of retrograde motion. Venus’s Retrograde brings more attention and deliberation to love, values, relationships, beauty, money, pleasure, food, and relationships. This Venus retrograde in Leo centers around performativity, bravery, ego, and strength as it shows up in those Venusian themes I just listed.

We are having to internally address the genuity of our expressions of love, pleasure, and creativity. If it feels like our expressions center performativity rather than the feeling of the experience, then we will need to go back to the drawing board in order to recenter and actually put our heart into our expression.

Leo is the zodiac sign related to the heart. The bravery and fierceness of the Lion show up out of love for its pride (family) and its need to stay alive (keep the heart beating). This Venus in retrograde season, we are reconsidering what it really means to move from a space of love rather than selfish pridefulness. When we move from a place of love for self we are able to honor our authentic nature via joyful creation which opens opportunities to attract more love, beautiful experiences, and even money. When we actually align our lifestyle and actions with our values rather than putting on an act to be seen as valuable by others that is when we are truly living a life of value. Is it more important to be seen as worthy by others or do you actually want to feel worthy according to your own standards?

When we accept ourselves as we are and allow ourselves to see beauty in ourselves exactly as we are is when we can experience and observe greater beauty in the world. When we accept that beauty radiates from the inside out we understand that a mirror nor anyone else can validate us, the validation we seek is inside. When we validate ourselves that is when we are truly confident. Superficial performances are not fulfilling. Operating purely from an egoic place creates empty connections, empty art, and emptiness within. When we move from our heart space we pour life into everything that we do and we open ourselves up for others to pour life into us as well. There is such a thing as a healthy balance of ego and heart, when we allow them to work in tandem that’s the money spot. We know our worth AND we acknowledge the worth of others which leads to respect, equality, and consideration for all. Now, that’s what I call healthy love.

A lot of people in today’s time confuse love and vulnerability with weakness. When in reality, being open to love and being vulnerable is actually a strength. It takes bravery to take such a big risk in regard to the heart. Love truly is a gamble and there is more to gain than there is to lose. Even when we feel we “take a loss” we are usually gaining greater perspective and have gained a lot of beautiful memories and helpful lessons. Love is a source of joy, warmth, and light. What is life without love? It’s empty, it’s dark, its cold. Love is not limited to romantic connections. Romance is not something we can only experience with a romantic partner. Romance and love are something that can be given to us by ourselves, our family, our platonic community, and even in nature. Think of a time when you have watched a sunset, isn’t that romantic? Think of a time when a friend has bought you your favorite snack or sent you a random loving text message, that’s also romantic.

During this Venus in Leo retrograde remember not to limit love or force romance to only be delegated to certain relationships. Love is not meant to be restricted. Love is loud not always in volume but the fullness in which we can feel it in our bodies. Or the way love can fill a room or the way seeing someone we love that we haven’t seen in a long time can make our day feel full and beautiful. We don’t have to minimize love, we should maximize it. Make a big deal out of the little expressions and the tiny moments. Summon love and romance into your life by deciding to see love in every little corner of life. It’s always there, it’s not hard to find we just need not let ego distract us or pride disrupt us from being open to the experience.

This is a time to lean into pleasure and allow ourselves to love freely and fearlessly, while also loving with integrity, ethics, and healthy boundaries. It’s important to be accountable in love and make sure that we are loving from a healthy and wholesome place. We want to be sure that our love is of quality and that we love with honest effort. Love is not just something to do. Love is not desperate. Love is not controlling. Love is not prideful. Love is patient. Love is kind. Love is understanding. Love is empathetic. Love is trusting and trustworthy. Love is intentional.

It’s a good time to reflect on and write out what your love ethics are. What does loving behavior look like and feel like to you? What type of lover are you? What type of lover do you want to be? (Being a lover applies to being someone who loves in general, how you love others, how you love yourself, how you love the world, and how you love your higher power. It’s all connected.)

This Venus retrograde in Leo poses the questions:

Are you living from a place of love or a place of ego?

Do your relationships pour life into you or drain the life out of you?

Are you open to the beauty, romance, and joy of life? How can you be more open?

How do you cultivate love and joy in your life?

How can you show and share your love more often?

What fears cause you to close yourself off from love?

How has your pride been a blockage to love in the past? How will you overcome these blockages in the future?

What are the risks of love? Why or why don’t they feel worth it to you?

If you could love with the guarantee of never being heartbroken how would you show up differently in love? What would it look like if you started showing up like that today?

How do I show up in love?

How can I be a better lover?

What limitations am I putting on love? Why?

How can I love from a more expansive place?

Saturn & Pluto Retrograde Report

A detailed report about Pluto and Saturn in retrograde + horoscopes for the rising signs based on astro intelligence and intuition

Theme: Slowing down to acknowledge the past and reenvision a better future, without attachment to the present

As those of us in the Northern Hemisphere are enjoying the beginning of the Summer season and basking in the heat of the Sun, we must also turn our attention towards two of the other figures of authority and power in the sky Saturn and Pluto, both of whom will be in retrograde motion until the fall. Saturn is in retrograde in Pisces in the first decan and Pluto is in retrograde in the last decan of Saturn-ruled Capricorn. These two retrograding planets must be discussed in tandem because Pluto being in Saturn’s sign of rulership directly links the two.

Although it is summer and we may be high energy, we may find that some of our more long-term plans are moving a bit slower than we like due to the retrograde. Retrogrades bring a lot of reflection, revision, reevaluation, reconsideration, reminiscence, recollection, revitalization, repetition, reenactment, and reconsideration. There is a theme of the prefix “re-” which originates in Latin meaning again or back, as in to repeat or go backward. Retrogrades can make us feel like we are not making progress as it feels like we must retrace our steps. However, the growth is in being able to look backward with new insight that we didn’t have during the first walkthrough.

When it comes to Saturn being in retrograde the reflection we are doing is specifically in regards to our long-term goals, our discipline, what we are building, how we spend our time, our boundaries, our doubt, our elders, and our sense of accountability. This is a time when we are re-evaluating the work we’ve been putting in and how we feel about what has resulted from our efforts. This is when feelings of disappointment, pride, regret, or satisfaction arise in regard to what we have built. This is also when we consider what actions or habits need to change or be improved upon in order to create a better outcome. During this time, we are tweaking our formula so that we yield the end product we desire. We are assessing our current physical reality as the consequence of our previous actions and how closely it aligns with the future we are aiming for. We must ask ourselves, where do my current actions lead? Is this really the direction I want to go in?

Now, to take into account that Saturn is in Pisces we can get even more into the specification of this retrograde. Pisces is related to the collective (sub)consciousness, dreams, compassion, detachment from the physical, illusions, intuition, and spirituality. Saturn in Pisces is not quite in detriment however it’s definitely in foreign territory. Saturn is about structures and limitations presented by physicality and rigidity, on the other hand, Pisces is related to what is fluid, intangible, and beyond the present physical reality. Pisces is the uncontainable, limitless potential of our imagination and creativity. This is Saturn, measurer of the finite, in the land of Pisces’ infinite waters of imperceivable depth. However, it is important to have a sturdy vessel when we are exploring the depths of our subconscious waters. This Saturn retrograde in Pisces asks us to be a bit more grounded, intentional, and sure within our spiritual and creative practices and to take responsibility for the results of the times that we were not. It is a skill to go with the flow and not be completely taken over by it. There is a time to go with the flow and there is a time to create the flow. It takes discernment to know when to surrender and when to stand in your own authority. Often times we need to take charge in order to get the ball rolling and then trust in the law of inertia that once the ball is rolling we do not need to keep pushing it. Even if the ball stops rolling it's best to examine what obstacle caused the motion to come to a halt or friction that caused it to slow down so that when we are ready to push again we don’t run into the same issues and burnout from repetitive over-exertion. This retrograde can feel like the ball is slowing down or is no longer in motion but the point is not to panic, slowness and stagnancy are not inherently negative, quite frankly it’s pretty neutral but it depends on how we allow ourselves to make use of that time of slower motion.

Slow motion is an important component to mention when we talk about Saturn and Pluto. “Great things come to those who wait” and “good things take time” are cliches that we are all probably familiar with. I’m sure we can think of different circumstances in our lives where these statements have been proven to be true. However, time is a bit of an anomaly because although it is finite and measurable it is also infinite and immeasurable. We may be able to measure time and do our best to plan using time however we cannot predict what elements beyond our control will come of time as it passes. Saturn is related to how we work with time, how time ages us, and how we reckon with the fact that it will continue to move whether we do or not. Pluto, on the other hand, is more about how time transforms us and how beyond aging and maturing time is also related to death. Time can be a marker of endings and beginnings, which is Pluto’s realm of rulership.

Pluto is related to the aspects of time that we try to hide from such as death and what may be buried and then resurfaced over a long period of time. “What’s done in the dark comes to light” vibes but what is unenumerated in that statement is the inferred “over time.” Sometimes we bury the unsavory aspects of our history so deeply in hopes to forget about it or so that other people don’t find out about it. Yet, history can never fully remain hidden because it has been recorded somewhere. What we try to bury in our minds is stored and expressed in the body. This makes me think of the unflattering history of the United States which they want to bury by passing legislation that won’t allow critical race theory to be taught in school. However, evidence of that history is present everywhere in modern-day society. You can try to repress the facts but the effects are ever present and you cannot turn a blind eye to what is right in front of you. As this Pluto retrograde brings us back around the USA’s Pluto Return we may see more repetition of history coming to bite us in the butt. We see important legislation getting turned over, as some of our citizens are coming together to fight against it the energy is a bit polarized because there are those who would rather relive some of the unkind and unjust aspects of history.

As we live through continuous uncertainty with the future seemingly becoming more unclear by the day, we see some people who want to escape into the metaverse and that which is not grounded in physical reality. This is our time to slow down and order our steps so that we do not become so overwhelmed by the chaos that we need to escape reality. Even if we cannot be certain about the collective future and there is this ticking clock looming over us about the habitability of our precious planet, we must be grounded within our own sense of purpose and be clear about what we want to do with however much time we have left. It is important that we be present with the current circumstances with a sense of realism while being optimistic about our future and imagining one that is kind and inclusive to all of humanity. We have to imagine a better future while working within the present to do what is within our control to create this better future. Imagination and intention are just as important as disciplined action, they must work together. We cannot ignore the past at all but we don’t have to project it onto the future and allow it to repeat itself. Saturn retrograde in Pisces means we must include one another in our planning for the future, this is the time to brainstorm and work together. We are stronger together. It is not up to one person to save humanity, we all come together to create the Earth and we must consider one another now in a way we hadn’t before especially because there are more than enough people on this Earth who are more than willing to ignore the needs of others.

We must mature together as a collective. In the wise words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, “An injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Saturn is related to karma and justice. What side of justice do you hope to be on? How can we each do our best to fight for justice on behalf of the members of our community who do not have the opportunity to fight for themselves? Who and what are you fighting for? What is your technique or mode of combat in this fight for justice? The fight is not just in physical warfare. It is physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional. What is your role in the revolution? Artists are just as important as doctors are just as important as mystics are just as important as organizers are just as important as teachers and so on and so forth. It is more about your intention and commitment than it is your skill level. Pluto’s retrograde in Capricorn asks that we persevere with relentless effort (at a sustainable pace because this is a marathon, not a race) even when we want to give up hope. Saturn’s retrograde in Pisces asks that we do our best to stay grounded in our faith that things can improve even if it takes time. There is power in patience and sustained effort. There are infinite possibilities that live in uncertainty we just have to stay focused on the possible outcomes that we want even when they look unlikely.

Saturn retrograding back to the 0 degree of Pisces while Pluto has retrograded from Aquarius back into the last decan of Capricorn represents the conclusion of certain aspects of our capitalist society as we know it while ushering in a new era of collective spirituality, compassion, and connectedness. We are moving away from individualism as we see that it doesn’t benefit us as much as we thought. The winner and loser-mentality that has divided us is now coming into perspective as we realize that “winning” is about saving humanity as a whole. These retrogrades are a time that allows us to wake up to revelations about just how corrupt our society is and how we no longer want to be complicit to the corruption or have blind faith in systems that we never should have believed in anyway. No longer can the wool be pulled over our eyes. No longer do we have the luxury of feigning ignorance or choosing distraction over action.

It is time to stand tall in our faith even when physical reality may inspire doubt within us. It is time to take reconsider and revoke the power and confidence we have put into these institutions and acknowledge the power within the people and what we can accomplish when we pool our resources, creativity, talents, and ideas together. It is time that we acknowledge the responsibility we have for one another and to the greater good of humanity. We must also acknowledge there are errors we have made along the way based on the beliefs that have been programmed into us by these unjust institutions. It takes patience and compassion for ourselves and others to unlearn, relearn, and pass on the knowledge.

We have given power and authority to the government, corporations, and elders for so long with the expectation that they will protect us. We must realize that there is more abuse of power happening than actual protection. We are allowed to question the systems we have put our trust in. We are allowed to speak up about what is owed to us. If they are not willing to settle their debt then we must accept that it is up to us as a people to take back our power and prioritize our best interest. We must accept the responsibility we have for each other and realize that no one else will take care of us but us.

Without further ado, here are the horoscopes for each of the risings during the Saturn and Pluto Retrograde:

(This horoscope is based on the whole sign house system. If you use the Placidus house system AND you have a late degree ascendant consider reading the horoscope for your rising sign and the following sign as it may be accurate to what houses the transits are taking place for you.)

Aries Rising:

For Aries Rising, Pluto is Retrograding in your 10th house and Saturn is Retrograding in your 12th house. You may be experiencing death and rebirth in relation to the goals you have been working towards, the legacy you’re building, and your long-term ideals about your life. Furthermore, it can feel like this death and rebirth stems from assessing what lies deep in your subconscious to see the root of what drives you and what inhibits you. You are doing a deep dive investigation of what your purpose is and what it means to live a purposeful life as it pertains to the tiny details that add up to make the bigger picture. You may be experiencing deep dissatisfaction in your current career if the work you do feels like it’s not true for you but for an image or false sense of security. You may be confronted with the way your fear has led you away from fulfillment towards a life that feels a bit empty despite it looking full and powerful to others. You start to realize that maybe the power you felt before was just coming from the sense of pride you felt from other people’s projection of approval for your work rather than your own feelings about it. You are coming to terms with the restrictions you have placed on yourself that have dissuaded you from pursuing your truest calling. It is important to take the time and space during these retrogrades to be vulnerable about the ways you have been your biggest hater. You can take accountability for your fearful behavior while also being compassionate with the part of you that has been afraid. Ease your fears and worries by being assured that you made it so far in a field or job that you weren’t passionate about, imagine how far you can go with your work ethic when it is matched with actual passion and love for what you’re doing.

Taurus Rising:

For Taurus Rising, Pluto is retrograding through your 9th house while Saturn is retrograding through your 11th house. You may be experiencing death and rebirth in regard to the structure of your faith in connection to the reflection and revision of your greatest sense of aspirations for the world. You are experiencing more social awareness and a feeling of responsibility to your community. You may be reevaluating the community and network that you are a part of how and much they align with the goals you have. As you acknowledge your part in the greater collective you realize that some of the goals you have must be achieved within a network that is founded on shared goals and interests. Faith is made stronger when you see others around you who really believe in what you believe in just as strongly as you do. You also may have to address when you are the one casting doubt on the plans of the group. Rather than isolating when you feel like you are not matching the energy of the group don’t be afraid to ask for assistance in being lifted up so that you can rise to the occasion. This is a time to lean on your peers and community members and to let them know they can lean on you too. Every disagreement or difference in approach isn’t a signal of disharmony as much as it is a signal that more communication and work needs to be done to create a vision that is inclusive of everyone’s needs and ideas. Your community may be helping you to create greater spiritual discipline and get more organized in your faith by holding you accountable by holding you to your promise to intentionally serve your community. If you want to show up for the world and make change it requires that you show up for yourself first. If you feel like the spiritual community you have been hoping for hasn't shown up yet consider the people in your sphere now that you know are not in alignment with your spirit and let them go in peace. Be sure that in the process of releasing them, you are also honest about and willing to let go of the version of you that attracted them in the first place. Have grace for yourself and them in the midst of outgrowing them, it's okay to let people go on good terms you don’t have to wait until there’s bad blood, if they just don’t fit they just don’t fit and it's nothing against them. They just can’t go with you. Be willing to detach from morals, ethics, and beliefs you adopted and adapted to in order to move into a space where you can cultivate your own system of belief that is influenced by your most authentic truth and that empowers you rather than confines you.

Gemini Rising:

For Gemini Rising, Pluto is retrograding through your 8th house while Saturn retrograde is moving through your 10th house. Your relationship with death and grief may come more into focus during this time. You may have to come to terms with the idea that everything ends one day but what do you want to do until then? You may need to come to terms with your fear of change or maybe even your fear of things never changing. The idea of impermanence may scare or comfort you at this time to know that you will not be stuck in the same predicament forever but also the things and people you love will also not be around forever. You may be reckoning with the unfortunate truth that certain pillars and people of stability in your life will not always be there for you to lean on but it can help to know that the wisdom and feelings they have given you will remain with you beyond their physical expiration. This can feel like an overwhelming transformational time in which you are getting more serious about your sense of purpose and what being of service to the public means to you. You want your purpose to be more spiritual than physical but you are also recognizing that the physical and the spiritual are in their own ways interconnected. You are understanding just how impactful the essence of your spirit is and how you can translate that into your work even deeper than you already have. You are on a journey of regaining power and authority over what scares you. You may be accepting that everyone has an expiration date, even you, and pondering on what you’d like to leave behind whenever you go. You probably understand better than anyone that it’s not just about leaving behind things. You want a legacy that is felt by people on a soul level. You want a legacy that is the manifestation of your greatest potential and your wildest dreams. You are coming to understand what it truly takes to attain that and that your dreams are not as wild as you think. You have the authority to decide what your life will amount to but first, you have to truly understand the responsibility and power you hold. It’s time to sit with your ideas, listen to them, meditate on them, and let the map of your journey unfold in your mind’s eye, and then when it is time you will know when it is time to actually get up and begin the navigation towards your goals. It’s okay to rest for a moment to really gather the tools you need because the journey is long you need to be prepared to have the endurance to see it through.

Cancer Rising:

For Cancer Rising, Pluto is retrograding through your 7th house while Saturn’s retrograde is transiting through your 9th house. It may feel like you are going through a death and rebirth in regard to your relationships or that grief is coming up from the experiences of past relationships. You may be faced with painful recollections of your past relationships or feel like you are finally coming to terms with some of the hurt you endured in relationships. You are reckoning with the autonomy that other people have and relinquishing the need to control other people and their actions. You may also be facing the reality that you have been giving others too much control over you by giving away your power via bitterness, resentment, or paranoia. You are coming to terms with the accountability of some of the ways you acted out of character in relationships or facing the music about some of your immature actions that were an attempt to get back at others. Do not take this as an opportunity to punish or be ashamed of yourself rather than be honest about your mistakes and that it is within your control not to repeat them. You are coming to terms with the way some of your paranoia, pessimism, or lack of trust in relationships is a projection of your own insecurities rather than a reflection of your current reality. The harsh reality is that even in shared spaces and within relationships you cannot completely blame others for how you feel and that there is still more work to be done in regards to your ability to emotionally regulate in the presence of others. People can influence how you feel and the quality of people you interact with matters, but your ability to practice emotional maturity during conflict is just as important. You have to face the results of unhealthy past relationships in order to cultivate new healthy relationships now and in the future. Beyond your own personal relationship experience you are also investigating how other people’s relationships that you witnessed have also impacted your own relationship rhetoric. Other people’s unfortunate experiences don’t need to be projected onto your relationship, you can be mindful and cautious without being fearful and self-isolating. Reclaim your power by knowing that you can only control your end of the deal and it is not your job to predict or constantly be hypervigilant about protecting yourself from other people’s actions. Part of repairing your personal relationships or healing from past ones is having more faith in and grace for humanity. Are you expecting perfection from people? Would you want someone to demand perfection from you? You may be learning to have more compassion and understanding for differences in worldview and opinion, allowing it to be a teachable moment of tolerance rather than more reason to spread judgment and intolerance. Most things in life are subjective; there is no right way to be or live, but it is definitely within your right to invite people who align with your lifestyle. However, remember that sometimes being exposed to differences in opinion can lead to growth, greater awareness, and a more expansive perspective.

Leo Rising:

For Leo Rising, Pluto is retrograding through your 6th house while Saturn’s retrograde motion is taking place in your 8th house. Old habits truly do die hard and it may feel like they are dying a thousand painfully slow deaths. You may be breaking up with your bad habits in order to elevate your lifestyle but remember not to rush the process. In order to quit a habit it’s helpful to pick up a new habit to replace it with. Whether you choose to go cold turkey or ween yourself off of it have grace for yourself, consider reinforcements or friends to lean on when it feels too hard. With Saturn as the ruler of your 6th house currently in your 8th house consider the deeply buried roots that were the cause of these “bad” habits. Don’t succumb to shame for the habits either as you probably adopted these habits as a form of survival, coping, or softening the blow of your experience. If you were using certain habits to avoid the pain consider creating space and time in your life in which you can address the pain or secrets safely and privately without being rushed. If it feels like up until this point you haven’t been taking the best care of yourself consider who taught you what care looked like. Who took care of you? What did their version of care feel like to you? It might be time to investigate and inquire within yourself about how you need to be taken care of. Have you ever really asked yourself what you need? Or have you just allowed outside influences to tell you what you’re allowed to have? It's time that you slow down and really lean into listening to your body and your intuition about what your needs are rather than just convincing yourself that you aren’t allowed to need anything. It’s time to put the distractions down and surrender to the discomfort. Every emotion is a path somewhere. When you are not avoiding them where can they lead you? Have you considered that your discomfort may deliver you a greater sense of security within yourself once you decide to confront it? Or maybe facing your shame can lead to unshakable confidence when you embrace your fear of it?

Virgo Rising:

For Virgo Rising, Pluto’s retrograde in Capricorn is moving through your 5th house while Saturn’s retrograde in Pisces takes place in your 7th house. Themes of creativity, pleasure, romance, and relationships may take precedence during these retrogrades. Pluto’s retrograde in your 5th house can inspire you to confront fears, paranoia, and obsession over criticism and judgment that stop you from leaning into creativity and pleasure. You are doing a deep exploration into what you authentically enjoy and what unpoliced pleasure looks and feels like for you. You are opening yourself up to the depths of sensuality and pleasure in your life by removing the shame you feel in relation to being imperfect. The point of art and pleasure is not to be perfect but to just be present in your expression. You are letting go of the worry about people seeing you in your joy. Allowing yourself to experience joy is an act of vulnerability. You do not have to carry the fear that someone is going to steal your joy or tell you that you are undeserving of it. Consider that there are people who’d rather join your parade than rain on it. Don’t be afraid to invite people into your space who could contribute to your creativity and pleasure. It can help to understand the amount of access you feel comfortable extending to people. Boundaries are set in order to be closer to people in a way that feels safe to you. If you are in relation to people who make you feel unsafe or fearful of their judgment it’s time to reconsider the relationship or the boundaries of it. Also, consider how your own doubts and assumptions about people may be making you believe that they will judge you which stops you from even giving them the chance to show you something different. Ask yourself what you want out of the relationships in your life. Then, ask yourself if you’ve even offered people the space to show up for you in the way you desire. What purpose do you want the relationships in your life to serve? What is the objective of the connection? Are you showing up as your full self in your relationships? Do the relationships in your life contribute to your pleasure or are they founded on your facade of perfection?

Libra Rising:

For Libra Rising, Pluto’s retrograde in Capricorn is taking place in your 4th house while Saturn in Pisces is retrograde through your 6th house. You may be experiencing the grief of coming to terms with the fact that your expectations of your family and home life were not met. There is also the possibility that you are shedding the expectations placed on you by your family or even expectations you placed on yourself at a young age as a result of how you grew up. The death of these expectations of who you should’ve or could’ve been will allow you to be reborn into the acceptance and security of who you are right now. You may be coming to terms with where you came from without judgment and how it is the foundation for where you are going. There is a deep transformation taking place within you emotionally and within your home space. You are choosing to detach from a certain aspect of perceived security, stability, and safety that has \ been a hindrance to you in reality. You may be seeing the ways in which you allowed yourself to stay comfortable in an uncomfortable situation for too long. Emotions that you have shoved down for a long time are rising to the surface leaving you with no choice but to acknowledge them once and for all. You cannot act unbothered toward what has been eating at you any longer. You are also coming to understand the ways in which your home life, whether current or of the past, has been impacting the lifestyle you have allowed yourself. You recognize the ways in which you have allowed your power to be siphoned by certain situations or emotions which has impacted the energy you have been able to give to your own responsibility to and care of yourself. You want to make up for the time you lost from taking care of everyone but you by pouring more meaningful use of your time into your current routine. It is time to create more space for discipline and dedication to yourself without having to consider how everyone else will feel about it. You come to understand that ultimately the ways in which you serve your own needs allow you to better be of service to the people who actually deserve your time. Ultimately though, you deserve your own time, attention, and prioritization of your well-being more than anyone else deserves endless access to you. It may be time to come to terms with the ways in which you have been a safe space for others but not for yourself. It is time to rebuild your own safe space and implement greater boundaries so that you don’t allow other people to rob you of your safety and time any longer.

Scorpio Rising:

For Scorpio Rising, Pluto’s retrograde motion through Capricorn is taking place in your 3rd house while Saturn’s retrograde in Pisces takes place in your 5th house. Pluto is the ruler of your chart so you may be even more sensitive to its retrograde than most other people. Your chart ruler currently retrograding in your third house is bringing focus to your mental health and cognition. This may be a time when you are acquiring knowledge that gives you a better understanding of who you are and how it impacts your relationship with your environment. You may also be considering the impact you want to have on your community as you get more comfortable with who you are and the knowledge you have to offer. Grief from a loss in your community could inspire you to take action to protect and show up with care for your neighborhood. Saturn in your 5th house brings more certainty about what you enjoy and the determination to include more of your passions in your life. You may be considering how you can share your art with your community maybe even considering offering classes, workshops, or activities to your community to teach people new ways to express themselves, especially after grief. You are reclaiming your power by embracing the ways that you learn and communicate after maybe feeling disempowered by trying to force yourself to learn and communicate within the boxes that other people expected you to fit in. You are looking at your local environment from the lens of creating intimate connections with members of your community that you had overlooked before or who are neglected by the community in general. You may be taking part in community outreach initiatives or wanting to have more hand in community legislation as you feel frustrated with the ways people in power are abusing their power and not acting in the interest of the community. You are considering the children in your community and how they are impacted by the decisions of the adults. Or you are thinking about your inner child and how you can be a gracious authority figure and advocate for its needs. You are someone who can often take a pragmatic approach to things but maybe you can open up to mental collaboration with people who have more idealistic views to understand how hope and realism can meet in the middle to make greater change. Don’t sleep on the way fun, art, and ease can be just as impactful in the pursuit of change. Sometimes people need to understand that despite “bad” news and the world’s current state of despair they still have the right to foster personal joy. That personal joy can deliver us greater hope and motivation to lead us to a better future. Just because it looks all bad doesn’t mean that it actually has to be that way. Even if the sky is falling maybe we can marvel at its beauty before the crash and then make a beautiful mosaic of the broken pieces in the aftermath.

Sagittarius Rising:

For Sagittarius Rising, Pluto’s retrograde in Capricorn takes place in your 2nd house while Saturn in Pisces is retrograding through your 4th house. You may be going through a transformation to your income and finances. It may feel like you took a great loss and you are unsure of how you can recover. You could be feeling quite unstable and insecure. Do not let this alteration in finances be a blow to your own perceived self-worth. This might be an opportunity for you to change your value system and place more importance on your own innate value and the worth of your internal resources and talents. You are probably sitting on a gold mine that you have been overlooking by downplaying your talent or not investing in your gifts. You may also be going through a shift that has affected your relationship to your skills it could feel like after time away from your craft you have regressed. Yet, it could be helpful to consider that the time away has given you a clean slate, a new perspective, and an improved approach to your work. Allow yourself to try again without judgment or expectation to measure up to your skill level from before and give yourself the chance to be amazed by your efforts as an experienced amateur. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and guidance from people who have more experience and consistent practice in your craft. Be open to the praises and compliments from the people who have always supported your pursuit of your gifts they will remind you of the talent that you feel is lost. Your loss of focus is not a reflection of your loss of skill. If you need help due to financial burdens or low self-esteem, do not feel shame or like you are a helpless charity case. Recall times when you were in a better space and you were willing to help others. You deserve the same kindness and encouragement that you give out to others. You have put out a lot of good energy in the world and you have the right to let it flow back to you. Life is cyclical, embrace every place in the cycle without feeling embarrassed during the “lows”. It’s okay to take accountability for what has led you to different parts of your journey without feeling judgment for the journey. Ultimately, certain experiences are inevitable and part of the human experience. Don’t judge your humanity. Sometimes you will be the one to help those in need and sometimes you will be the one in need of help. This is just the natural ebb and flow of being human. Be present in it and keep these times in mind to experience gratitude when you are back on top. Be soft with yourself and allow yourself to fall into the arms of those who are willing to create a soft safe space for you when you are unable to be that for yourself. Put down your criticisms of yourself and pick up your self-compassion.

Capricorn Rising:

For Capricorn Rising, Pluto’s retrograde in Capricorn takes place in your 1st house and Saturn in Pisces retrogrades through your 3rd house. You are experiencing the death of the idea of the isolated self in order to allow yourself to become more integrated into and connected with your community. Sometimes exile is a choice and being an outcast is a cop-out to avoid connection. It’s okay to admit that you crave a sense of belonging rather than convincing yourself that it’s something you’ll never be granted. Open yourself up to the idea that even if you haven’t found “your people” just yet it doesn’t mean you never will. You are learning more mature and compassionate ways to communicate your needs. There is a space between sugarcoating and brutal honesty that allows you to consider your needs and your delivery in order to be fair to yourself and others. You are allowed to have needs and you are allowed to express them. Even if it feels like your needs and thoughts are abstract and sometimes difficult for you to understand that doesn’t mean they can’t be made simple. Oftentimes, we overcomplicate things in our minds because we are afraid that we are too much or that we are asking too much. You are not too much and your need for community is not unattainable. You don’t have to be alone unless you want to but don’t choose loneliness out of fear of rejection. When you do that you reject yourself, people who mean you well, and opportunities that could be life-changing. Solitude can be beautiful but going too far into isolation can be dangerous and ostracizing. Allow yourself to verbalize your vulnerability this season and watch the connections that bloom from the expressions of your thoughts and feelings. Acknowledge how past misunderstandings have prevented you from seeking understanding from others in the present. There are people currently in your life and even in the world whom you haven’t met yet who do want to understand you but you just have to give them the opportunity. Your words don’t have to be perfect they just have to be authentic. Speak up and you will be heard by the right people who will give you the feedback of reassurance that you deserve. It’s okay to admit your own confusion and know that someone out there may have the answers you seek. Although you may often be the person with the plan open yourself up to the possibility that someone else can match your ideas or contribute great wisdom. You’re not the only one with expansive knowledge ;) A new perspective from an unlikely source might just spark the change and enlightenment you have been seeking.

Aquarius Rising:

For Aquarius Rising, Pluto’s retrograde in Capricorn takes place in your 12th house while Saturn in Pisces is in retrograde motion through your 2nd house. During this retrograde season, you are reckoning with the power of your dreams and subconscious and how that is reflected back to you in your physical and conscious reality. You may be feeling quite sensitive and intuitive to the state of the collective. Realizations may be arising about how tradition and societal pressures have been affecting you subconsciously, despite the fact that consciously you do not succumb to them. You are aware of the ways you have become a social pariah not of your own will. How can you accept your role in society without feeling stripped of your power? Even if you don’t want to acquiesce that doesn’t mean you have to drain your energy by fighting against the system without a true cause or end goal. Don’t just fight for the sake of fighting, hone in on what you’re fighting for and become more disciplined in your stance. You are meant to be a rebel with a cause. You are focusing on the slow development of your craft and talent. You are learning to balance being grounded in your craft without feeling limited in your abilities. Don’t let a lack of resources cause you to ignore your limitless potential. You have profound abilities of innovation to make up for what you feel you lack in proper training or resources. Artistic development doesn’t have to look the same for everyone, especially when you are exploring a lane that doesn’t already have an established curriculum. You can allow your own intuitive wisdom to lead you without second-guessing its credibility. Your spiritual guides and internal messages are credible and it’s not something you have to prove to anyone else. Your self-esteem and worth come from your ability to believe in and validate yourself even if other people aren’t ready to. It’s up to you to accredit yourself and then other people will follow suit based on your confidence and certainty of self. It is your path to officiate yourself and your craft, no one else is coming to knight you and the longer you wait and deny your own right to do so the longer you delay your own journey.

Pisces Rising:

For Pisces Rising, Pluto in Capricorn’s retrograde is transiting through your 11th house while Saturn’s retrograde in Pisces is underway in your 1st house. You are deeply investigating the root of your worldly aspirations and how empowered or disempowered you feel in your ability to achieve them. You are confronted with your hope, or lack thereof, for a better future for the world at large. You should consider the power of your hope and your ability to be a leader or facilitator within your community. Examine the way your fear, distrust, and selectiveness close you off from willing allies who could be of benefit to you and the people in the same intersection as you. This may be a time of learning discernment to find the balance between being too closed off and too accessible. You are understanding the power of responsible and meaningful collaboration. As you come into a space of wanting to share more of yourself with others you are learning to do so in a way that is healthy and doesn’t feel like it jeopardizes your own sense of safety within self. You are making the effort to lean into your existence as a fluid being but from a more stable and secure space so as to not get lost in a limbo of identity crisis. You are gaining a sense of groundedness in who you are that may help you realize that all versions of how you show up are valid and don’t have to be a threat to who you are internally. Your security in yourself is helping to ease the discomfort you felt in the past with other people’s inability to perceive you in your entirety. If they can’t understand it is not your job to overexplain or attempt to make yourself more legible. If they can’t get a read on you that is a reflection of their inability to understand the fullness of their own being. They just don’t have the range and that is not your problem. Allow yourself to show up in ways that feel authentic to you at the moment with no fear about how other people may attach themselves to or interpret your current presentation. Don’t force yourself into a restricting position for anyone else. Reflect on and make peace with the times that you have accepted roles that did not fit you. Let this be your reminder of why it is so important now for you to take up space and to show up fully in any space that you are in. Give thanks to the community in your life who shows up to celebrate you and let them help you shed and grieve the heaviness of those in the past who were ignorant of the occasion. Don’t shy away when the people in your current community call you to the front to lead. You are ready. It is time for you to become the person you always wanted someone else to be for you and offer that to others. The people in your life now will not ask more of you than you can give and even as you lead they will be beside you looking after you as you look ahead for them.

The square from Jupiter in Aries during this new moon makes us aware of the ways in which we have grown beyond where we come from and how our history and learned traditions no longer inspire our faith. It’s for us to create something new for ourselves based on the morals, faith, wisdom, and education we have received from our own life experiences and intentional exploration. Lilith conjunct this new moon in Cancer brings rebellious energy that feels the need to protect what we deem sacred, sentimental, and close to us. Lilith conjunct the New Moon also makes us aware of the shadow side of our home, origins, and family. This could be part of what propels us toward rebellion and strengthening our belief in what we learned away from home.

As we realize that where we come from isn’t a perfect place, we do not have to judge ourselves as products of imperfection. We must realize that we don’t have to conflate our being with the place we come from. Yet as we realize that the place or people we love and used to find no flaw in does indeed have a dark side, it prompts us to accept that side of ourselves as well. We embrace a newfound emotional strength as we allow ourselves to integrate our shadow with our light, as our shadow side is an untapped well of strength and potential when we open ourselves up to it. Lilith’s conjunction with the New Moon inspires us to be our most authentic selves, shadow and shamed parts included, without fear of punishment. It is our liberation from the judgment or shame from our family, whether still occurring in reality or ever-present in the mind, that allows us to enjoy this new freedom of self-expression.

Lilith is associated with sexual liberation, dark femininity, and reclaiming of power after being shunned or exiled. We might feel as though the change within our home situation or family dynamic is scary at first because it can take a minute before the grief makes way to feelings of freedom. This is a time to reclaim the power in your body whether it be through the liberation of sexuality or seeing the value in your body as a home, as a place where you are protected. We are taking better care of ourselves by protecting ourselves. We understand self-care as far as tending to our physical and emotional needs, but self-care is also protecting your energy, setting boundaries, and not allowing people to drain you. Some boundaries are sure to be set at this time. We are leaning into our softness and simultaneously our fierceness. We are caring and giving, but thanks to Lilith we also know how to leave or take action when the energy tip towards imbalance, inequality, or injustice.

This new understanding of protection and self-preservation also extends to protection from ourselves. Protection from our learned and inherited techniques of self-sabotage, rejection, and denial. We must address and actually stand up against the things we don’t want to accept anymore. This moon cycle between the Cancer New Moon and Capricorn Full Moon might not feel very gentle. Part of protecting ourselves from endangering ourselves is actually having to be honest about the ways we contribute to our own feelings of failure and suffering. Sometimes in this process, we have to be stern and almost brutal with ourselves for us to acknowledge the damage we’ve done and actually stop ourselves from taking it any further. I actually really appreciate Jupiter’s square here because although it’s a square and we’re being handed this reality check, Jupiter’s influence as a benefic still makes it so that it is not so harsh and we really do see a great reward for it after the fact. Jupiter in Aries is really about acting on faith. Belief is about behavior. It’s one thing to declare your beliefs about abundance, love, your power, success, and your faith it’s another thing to really walk in that. This new moon is here to inspire us to walk in, feel through, and protect this belief of ours.

As we continue to take risks and find ourselves far from our usual place of comfort it is important that we keep our wits about ourselves. We don’t have to deny or feel shame about our history and place of origin now that we know deeper truths about it. This New Moon in Lilith gives us the opportunity to let us be reborn and delivered from the perceived “errors” of our past into a version of ourselves that can no longer be weakened by shame nor repress one’s own power for the comfort of others. We are allowed to comfortably walk in our power and confidently take the risks that we didn’t think we could afford because of where we come from. It could be most important now to come to terms with the fact that you can’t go back to your ignorance nor to your ideals of comfort nor to the role of playing it weak. It’s a rebirth into being so true to ourselves that we are willing to sacrifice our comfort and the convenience we are to others in order to live courageously in our truth and align our being with our beliefs.

When it comes to the setting intentions for this moon it should be related to emotional protection, liberation, and power. I would recommend speaking life into the water that you drink. If you are on your period at this time I would highly suggest becoming one with your blood whether through making a face mask, writing your intentions in the blood, creating a bath with the blood, meditating while visualizing the flow of your menstrual, or whatever makes you feel more in tune with your sacral center. Lilith is related to the “wild woman” archetype and primitive behaviors, let us lean into our wildness. Sometimes you need to walk away from where you come from to shed domestication and indoctrination to get back in touch with your liberated, wild, uncensored, uncontainable side. It’s giving unleash the beast. We’ll be better for it. Forget your chains so that you can test your new wings.

Is it attainable to you right now? If not then it’s probably flawed, consider yourself worthy right now. Find freedom in being priceless and imperfect. The faith and value you place in yourself don’t have to be affected by or affect the value you place in others. What you admire about others is not a threat to you. The square from Jupiter in the 10th house might make you aware of your well-esteemed public image or favor with important people in your life. Leo- The New Moon & Lilith in Cancer are in your 12th house square to Aries Jupiter in your 9th house.

Intentions related to protection, freedom, and liberation in regards to peace, healing, and reprogramming for your subconscious. It could be helpful for you to spend this new moon in isolation. You could become more aware of the potential of your intuitive abilities when used with potential. It’s important in your case not to get ahead of yourself with your raw abilities as you still need a bit more education and learned experience before you are ready to actually “do anything” with your abilities. Aries Jupiter in your 9th house indicates this is an opportunity for independent study through exposing yourself to new and unfamiliar things, people, places, concepts, and theories. Do not ignore your intuition because you feel confused by it or because you second guess whether you heard/felt/sensed correctly. Aries Jupiter’s square suggests that the only way to become certain is to learn and practice as much as you can about and with this new capability you’ve uncovered. Before you dive head first into the knowledge, sit with yourself and learn as much as you can from your own inner wisdom, and let that guide you on your journey of further discovery.

Virgo- The New Moon & Lilith in Cancer are in your 11th house square to Aries Jupiter in your 8th house.

Intentions related to protection, freedom, and liberation in regards to friendship, chosen community, hope for the collective, activism, and goals to be accomplished with others. Jupiter in the 8th house indicates that you are already learning lessons in relation to trusting others. You’ve expanded your bubble of trust quite a bit but now it’s time to understand the levels to which you can place people in the bubble of trust. This New Moon/Lilith conjunction square to Jupiter is requesting that you allow yourself to be vulnerable with others while maintaining your boundaries. Be honest about what these goals, these connections, this community, or this project means to you. Don’t lose out on being a part of the growth of something greater than you because you aren’t intimidated by the intimacy this kind of community requires. Reassure yourself of your protection and your ability to stand up for yourself and fair treatment. Trust your instinct but don’t force feelings of paranoia to take up the space of innocent uncertainty.

Libra- The New Moon & Lilith in Cancer are in your 10th house square to Aries Jupiter in your 7th house.

Intentions related to protection, freedom, and liberation in regards to your career, purpose, reputation, success, personal authority, and public attention. It can feel like a lot of attention is on you at this time, as if other people are dependent on or have stakes in your next move. Don’t feel pressured by this extra weight of responsibility. You have no responsibility to people who are just on-lookers of your life. Practice your freedom to make decisions for yourself. You are in control of your path and you get to choose your position in life, whether this be your profession, how you show up in relationships, your politics, and how much you allow others to know about you. It’s okay to pull back and become more private with your affairs if that helps you to feel more in control. An audience cannot be your master. You control your own narratives. Right now, close relationships in your life help to give you a different vantage point of your reputation and path. The observations of trusted peers and partners can help you to feel more aware and in control of your trajectory, but know the difference between an observer and an overseer. You get the final say about your life decisions. You are free from the molds that have been set out for you. What will you make of your freedom?

Scorpio- The New Moon & Lilith in Cancer are in your 9th house square to Aries Jupiter in your 6th house.

Intentions related to protection, freedom, and liberation in regards to your own sense of religion (not limited to organized religion, this just means your personal morals and belief system), travel, higher learning, growth, and publishing. This can feel like discovering the power of controlling your personal story and the stories that you choose to believe. This new moon for you is about becoming more familiar with the unfamiliar territory of having hope. Allow yourself to believe in something, even if it’s just yourself. Jupiter in the 6th house is about incorporating faith and belief into your daily routine. This could be a new start that includes validating your own emotions and protecting your optimism from the cruelty of the world. You don’t have to give in to groupthink just because the majority have signed up to believe in it and claim it as their truth. Laws are formed from collective agreeance. Sometimes when we rewrite our own code of conduct we find ourselves to be outlaws of society’s laws. That’s okay, stand tall in that. It’s not your job to convince anyone else to believe what or how you believe and someone denouncing your beliefs shouldn’t be enough to make you walk away from your own. Allow the consistent daily practice of your faith to help to strengthen your optimism. Open your mind so that mundane moments can become practice and dynamic learning opportunities for you.

Sagittarius- The New Moon & Lilith in Cancer are in your 8th house square to Aries Jupiter in your 5th house.

Intentions related to protection, freedom, and liberation in regards to intimacy, trust, shared resources, bonds with others, sex, magic, and what is hidden. The New Moon/Lilith conjunction’s presence in the 8th house only makes the themes of power and sex stronger and more personal to you. You are realizing and opening up to the ways in which sex and intimacy require deeper healing and more work from you. I applaud you for the work you have already done while reminding you there is more to do. You are being invited to become more comfortable with all the secret parts of yourself that you have been avoiding. You are invited to revisit past versions of yourself to see how you can draw on their wisdom and power to finally transform into a version of you that actually includes every version of you. You have finally come to terms with the outcome of past relationships, and although you can’t change them you can evolve so that you don’t have to repeat similar situations. Challenge your views on dating, closeness, intimacy, and sex. See the ways in which you have chosen shallow living in relation to these topics, as opportunities come up to go deeper do not shy away. On the other side of the fear of intimacy are pleasure, magic, and combined forces to create greater power. Yet you have to be comfortable with your own power in order to contribute to such a bond.

Capricorn- The New Moon & Lilith in Cancer are in your 7th house square to Aries Jupiter in your 4th house.

Intentions related to protection, freedom, and liberation in regards to close relationships, cooperation, agreements, contracts, and justice. You could be starting a new relationship or starting a new chapter in one of your relationships. If you want this one to be better than the last it’s important that you move with intention and are honest about your needs upfront. You might be adopting new terms of agreement in your partnerships, whether that be platonic, romantic, or business. Make sure everyone is clear about what they’re agreeing to and that you are clear about what you need and expect from them. Be receptive to what others state their needs to be and make sure that you actually feel equipped to take care of those needs. Lilith’s placement demands respect, autonomy, and equality in this relationship avoid future feelings of betrayal and wasted time by confronting red flags or dismissal of your demands as they come up. Aries Jupiter in the 4th house square to the Moon and Lilith in the 4th house can reveal the disparity between what your past and upbringing have caused you to believe about safety in relationships and what it is in reality. Pay attention to what you actually feel rather than what you think you “should” feel. Don’t go looking for trouble when it’s not there, allow yourself to have peace. You can afford it now.

Aquarius- The New Moon & Lilith in Cancer are in your 6th house square to Aries Jupiter is in your 3rd house.

Intentions related to protection, freedom, and liberation in regards to health, routine, service, work, obligation, and organization. Jupiter in the 3rd house square to the New Moon & Lilith in the 6th brings the potential to let your hopeful mind and positive speaking mouth to expand the view of what’s possible in your reality. Allow your faith in your future to help you discover more care and feelings of empowerment in your current reality. This new moon calls you to become more dedicated to and invested in your own health and habits. Lean into the intuitive messages from your physical body as they call out to you. Care for yourself and your health as you would care for a friend, elder, or child. Be gentle yet stern with yourself as you build better habits of self-care. Watch how pouring into yourself strengthens your natural reserve of power. As you learn to be better to yourself the quality of your life improves and you can make an even more positive impact on your surrounding community. This New Moon/Lilith conjunction in the 6th house creates the potential for liberation via work or finding new job opportunities that feel more authentic, empowering, and serving of your emotional needs. The same can be said for your personal routine and habits.

Pisces- The New Moon & Lilith in Cancer are in your 5th house square to Aries Jupiter in your 2nd house.

Intentions related to protection, freedom, and liberation in regards to play, creativity, the inner child, pleasure, romance, dating, and children. This new moon can birth to new creative ideas within you. You might feel more inclined to take better care to pleasure yourself and experience real joy. Right now, for you the best kind of self care is play, creativity, and intentional sexual pleasure. You are realizing the needs of your inner child for freedom to just let loose and have fun without worry. You could be opening your mind to realize that sex can be something that is done with care, even if it’s not out of love it doesn’t have to be based on superficial lust either. You’re understanding what pleasure truly is and taking the pressure off of yourself to feel pleasure in ways that haven’t felt authentic to you. You are allowed to protect and keep private the things that make you feel good, you don’t have to share the sacred aspects of your joy. Yet you don’t have to close other people out in order to protect your precious, its possible to section off certain areas of your life in order to grant access to more general areas while closing off what you want to keep for yourself. Jupiter’s square to the New Moon from its place in the 2nd house indicates tension between the belief in your personal values and what you consider to be pleasurable. So that you don’t get caught up in a cycle of shame rather than trying to cut off your “guilty” pleasures due to your faith, find a way to make your own morals more accepting of your pleasure. You don’t have to rob yourself of what you enjoy just because it’s not monetarily beneficial or in line with what your values have been thus far. This is your opportunity to expand your values and allow your own joy and pleasure to be a resource and an aid to you.

Star Players: the Gemini stellium which consists of the Moon, Venus, and Mercury with a supporting role from Jupiter in Aries

Today, the moon is in Gemini. We are attempting to communicate our feelings and share feelings of comradery. We want to know that someone cares to listen and relate to us. Especially since the moon forms a conjunction to Venus in Gemini, we are really seeking security in close connection. We want to feel something. Quite literally, Gemini is the sign that is associated with the hands so we could feel a bit more hands on and touchy feely. We are being sensual with our words but with the sharpest wit. We could feel bolder with our flirtation. We might be feeling very charming, seductive, and vulnerable with our verbiage. A bit more suggestive and honest today. Not too forward but Venus isn’t shy, especially not during this transit in Gemini.

The moon will meet up with Mercury a little later in the day. Friendship, siblinghood, and feelings of safety in your local community will be important today. Sentimental or emotional encounters with neighbors are possible today. Surround yourself with the people you trust today, lean into the platonic connections you have today. Show your gratitude for your friends. The aforementioned touchy feely feelings are not exclusive to romantic partners, hold your friends hand today, it will make you feel nice.

The moon is in pretty good standing today for emotional conversations to be had and go well. The moon in Gemini opens up the space for dialogue. The conjunction to Venus brings loving and peaceful energy to the space. Mercury’s influence brings greater opportunity for effective communication and understanding between both parties. Also, there is a sextile from Jupiter in Aries which supports the space with optimism, inspired action, and the courage to share how you feel in order to get what you need. Jupiter in Aries sextile the Gemini moon might feel like oversharing and being too forward about how you feel but you’ll see how worth it it was to bring attention to your feelings or else the person who could help you with them might have never known you needed help.

Moon in Gemini days can create a lot of mental overwhelm, especially with the momentary stellium created as the moon visits Venus and Mercury who are currently transiting through the sign as well. It’s so important to do breathwork on the days that the moon is in Gemini or Mercury’s energy is strong. Along with ruling the arms and hands, Mercury also rules the nervous system and the lungs. Let your breath help you to regulate your nervous system so that you don’t fall victim to thoughts and emotions that just need a little time to settle. Exercise your ability to return to center before you get lost in a mood. When we find it hard to control our thoughts or emotions, we can call on the ease through which we can control our breath. Awareness of the breath is the path to presence. Physical sensation is another grounding tool for returning to the present. That is another way in which friends can come in handy but also when you can’t find your way off the train of your thoughts, look to your hands. You can literally look at your hands or you can touch something. You can rub your hands together in a slow soothing way. You can count your fingers. You can complete a task or create art that involves using your hands. You get the picture.

Heart. Hands. Breath.

Astro for June 25, 2022

Most important players today: Moon in Taurus, Pluto in Capricorn, Saturn in Aquarius, and Neptune in Pisces

Today, the moon is exalted in Taurus while forming a square to Saturn, a sextile to Neptune, and a trine to Pluto. Due to Moon trine Pluto, we feel our power, our potential, and the control we do possess. However, Saturn’s square reminds us that this doesn’t always mean that we know how to manage our own capabilities. Today, it could really be made apparent to us that we’ve had the juice the whole time, we just were not actually doing the work necessary to get the fruits to become the juice. We have the juice, it’s just inside the fruits of our labor. The labor is the habits we must practice in order to get the most organic refined juice we can from our natural raw talents.

We think to form habits and be disciplined we have to be serious and somber. NO! That actually further demotivates and discourages you because you’re taking yourself too seriously. Habits are built via obsession or incentive. What’s the difference between a habit and an addiction? Intention and control. While building a habit set the intention to enjoy it. While building a habit find way a to incorporate an incentive that you can associate with the habit. C’mon you know psychology pavlovs dog’s, stimuli, incentive, conditioning. etc. Positive reinforcement goes a long way. The obsession comes in with the need to be obsessed with the growth that you are determined to bring about by committing to the habit. It doesn’t necessarily need to be attached to a result, this is where we look to Neptune to ease up the Plutonian and Saturn influence today. We can just healthily and from a safe distance obsess over and fantasize about the way the pay off will feel in the future. Yet with the moon in Taurus let us be reminded to enjoy the journey and the pleasure of it right now. Remember that sometimes the most effective change, the most shattering revolution is a slow burn. Enjoy the aroma.

Saturn Rx in Aquarius the theme is advancement and refinement. The point is to review past malfunctions to figure out how we can improve the glitches in our software. Today, with the Taurus moon’s square to Saturn we see how the internal glitches are reflected in the external. We are realizing the tangible results of our internal decision making. We are made aware of how our doubt has limited our physical reality. We see how our own internalized sense of pressure has put stress on our body. You might feel more aware of the tension in your body. In the same way, as you become aware of the tension bring awareness to the strength and the power. What can you do with the magnitude of that tension once you relax, stretch out, and allow it to be more malleable energy?

Cancer Season Forecast

An intuitive and informative ramble to give you an idea of the energy brought by Cancer season and the influences of the new moon in Cancer, the full moon in Capricorn, Venus in Gemini, Mercury’s transition from Gemini to Cancer, and Mars in Taurus.

On June 21, we experienced the Summer Solstice aka the first day of summer and Cancer Season. In preparation to write up this report for Cancer Season, I jotted down some keywords that I associate with Cancer energy.

The words I brainstormed are as follows: intuition, emotions, memories, mother, maternal, caretaker, moods, moody, cardinal water, home, the moon, self-care, protection, sensitivity, comfort, crying, dreams, safe space, emotional proactivity instead of emotional reactivity, coping strategies.

When the Sun is in Cancer it brings up a lot of emotions for the collective. Cancer is the cardinal water sign. In astrology, cardinal signs are the signs that indicate the start of one of the four seasons. Energetically speaking, cardinal signs are characterized by taking initiative, creating change, and getting the ball rolling. Water is the element related to emotions, intuition, memory, and fluidity. Cardinal water is change inspired by emotions, intuitive action, and history. Cancer season can bring up memories that we only recognize through feeling or dreams. Most emotions are tied to memory. Cancer season is an opportunity to make peace with our memories so that they do not control our present. We must take the initiative now as the caretaker of our own life to create new experiences for ourselves that can turn into memories that inspire evolved emotions.

The Moon has rulership over the Sun this season as the ruling entity of Cancer. Emotions could be elevated, exasperated, exaggerated, and ever-changing. The moon as the fastest moving astrological body now being in charge means that we will be moving through our feelings at a fast pace. We will be extra sensitive to the moon’s positions this season. The heat of summer usually does bring more emotional outbursts. It is often reported that crime goes up during the summer season. More people are outside and agitation arises due to the temperature, as a result, conflict becomes more likely because naturally there is just more opportunity for it.

This month our emotions, need for security, family/internal family system, memories, comfort, idea of home, and empathy are common themes. This is what we will be bringing our attention to this month. A new moon in the moon’s sign of rulership only intensifies the purifying, fresh start energy of the new moon. We might recognize the connection or disconnection between our feelings and our faith. I feel like this would be a good day to do some type of reset for your body. This could be a massage, yoga poses for emotional release, a spiritual bath, a deep deeep crying session, anything that makes your whole body just feel renewed and refreshing. A deep clean of your home would be amazing too the days leading up to the new moon, not necessarily on or after it. As we approach the new moon, we want to make the effort to clear out anything that feels like it blocks us from our intuition our feeling out of touch with our body.

To bring our feelings and our faith back into alignment will be the journey for this moon cycle, as presented by the square from Jupiter to the Cancer new moon on June 28th. Feelings as in the sensations in our body, not the thoughts we perceive as feelings. Do you really feel what you believe? When you think of the safety and security you want and know you rightfully deserve, how does it feel in your body? Are you able to feel secure in yourself and your faith that everything will be alright? Do you really feel the trust you have in yourself and your circumstances as strong and unwavering? Or do you feel feelings of doubt and unsafety creep in? These are feelings that we can perceive in our body. If you don’t feel like you have the ability of truly feeling your feelings in your body, I promise that you do and it is no shame if you feel as if you do not. A lot of us have experienced conditioning or trauma that has caused us to feel disconnected or detached from our bodies. It takes a practice of being grounded enough to sense ourselves. Part of the conditioning from white supremacy and patriarchy is desensitization to self and others. It is a journey to come back to the body. I think a lot of us have been inspired to take this journey in the past decade and more recent years, I think this month of the Sun in Cancer will further us along collectively.

This month taking care of ourselves is important. One of the intentions we all could set for this new moon is to be a better caretaker to ourselves. It can be so easy to find ourselves in patterns of self neglect, betrayal, sabotage, and deprecation. Yet, it takes work, extra effort to maintain our regimens for self care. I know so many people who take better care of others or even their materials than they do themselves. I’m sure all of us can relate to that in some way. Let Cancer season be the time we take to treat ourselves this summer (for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere). Leo season is coming and that’s for shining and showing out. In order to be able to stunt then, we have to show up for ourselves now. Don’t let yourself go outside ashy (metaphorically speaking) looking like nobody cares about you. Take the time to lather and lotion yourself with TLC. You deserve to feel cared about. That feeling starts with you. How can you make yourself and your body feel cared about so that you feel safe enough in your body to have more awareness of it?

Jupiter’s square to the new moon on June 28th, spices up Cancer season with a push from self ignited belief to create something with these big feelings of ours. We must be mindful that we don’t allow Jupiter’s square to inflate our feelings too much and we do big damage over short lived feelings. Jupiter has the power to teach us by widening our scope with new experiences, wise mentors, travel, and other learning opportunities. Jupiter also has the power to lead us to be over indulgent, careless, and even naive. Jupiter’s placement in Aries could add more of the careless and naive aspect. Aries being the first sign of the zodiac and possessing abrupt initiator energy can sometimes overlook details in the midst of action. Yet, beginner’s luck is the current vibe with Jupiter in Aries so don’t shy away from following your faith, which often shows up as your first mind aka your intuition. As we become more in tune with the feelings in our body and we can identify them, it also becomes easier to identify where our intuition shows up in our body. The easier it is to access and hear our intuition the easier it is to follow it. The easier it is to follow our intuition the more it feels like we are truly aligned with our faith and the magic/divinity within us we have always wanted to will ourselves to believe.

In regards to the movements of other planets this season, Mercury and Venus in Gemini can create exciting or anxiety inducing thoughts in regards to love and socializing. We could be thinking a lot about our words and how we think they are making others feel (which is not always reality) and thinking about the words spoken to us and how they make us feel. This comes back to feeling our feelings in our body. Excitement and anxiety can feel similar in the body, truth be told they are something like one in the same. Excitement is the hopeful perspective about what is to come, while anxiety is the concerned and skeptical perspective about what is to come. They are both in their own way projections onto the future or even present reality, which usually is actually pretty neutral. When we allow ourselves to be present in the moment we can experience some of this neutrality within ourselves which is a gateway to peace and oneness with our intuition.

The Sun in Cancer while Mercury and Venus are in Gemini is like intuition and logic working side by side. On July 5th, Mercury also enters Cancer so this is when we experience collective language and collective focus being back on the same page. We will have conversations that are more emotional as we finally open up to verbalize what we have been personally feeling. The first half of Cancer season can feel like we are a bit more in our shells, yes we are present and socializing but there are certain things we are not quite ready to share. Thoughts that we allow to remain in our minds until the time feels right, thoughts that open up more feelings, thoughts that we have to open ourselves up to acknowledging before we can utter them to anyone else.

It is around July 5th that we can finally find the words that actually capture the feeling or that we accept that words may not do them justice but we still have the right to communicate our needs and feelings in whatever ways we can. Mercury in Cancer opens up the floor for nonverbal forms of communication. Humans can communicate through visible feelings. A hug. A cry. A scowl. A kiss. A stare. An avoided gaze. This month we can focus on speaking more body language, as we practice more intuitive communication. We can allow our bodies to lead until we can gather the words. As we listen to our bodies the right words will appear. Words are necessary but only when they’re necessary. As Mercury moves from Gemini to Cancer we use less filler words and more feeling words. When we take the time to listen to our bodies often times that is when we find the right words.

It is also possible that emotional overwhelm can make some of us nonverbal. If this is an experience you have, consider finding ways that you can communicate effectively that don’t drain or overwhelm you the way verbal communication does. ASL is always a good option. A personal system developed between you and trusted loved ones can also ensure that they can understand you when you don’t have the capacity to advocate for yourself. One of the hugest themes this month is how we ensure our security, safety, and comfort. This looks like accommodating our needs emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually. This looks like creating healthy coping mechanisms for ourselves that we can use in times of emotional crises. This looks like creating a lifestyle for ourselves that help to minimize and prevent triggers of said emotional crises. The Jupiter square new moon really inspires us to learn more about our emotional processing and honor our process by making space for it in our lives.

Mars enters Taurus the same day Mercury enters Cancer. Mars is considered to be in detriment (feels uncomfortable) in Taurus because it is opposite it’s domicile in Scorpio. Mars in Taurs gives more emphasis to our 5 sense, our primal pleasures, our desires, and our motivation for material things. Mars in Taurus will emphasize sensuality and feelings of possessiveness. When we feel attached to things outside of ourselves it is because we feel as though something inside of us is missing and needs to be replaced. This month don’t lose yourself on a fast track to honoring false senses of security and wholeness created by the illusion of ownership. There can be a deeply superficial hunger within us this month that can seem quite insatiable. The goal here is to convince yourself of your satisfaction. It is not that you are unsatisfied, it is just that you may not be present enough to give satisfaction a chance. For people who actually are stagnated due to feelings of content, consider the possibility of better. Do not allow yourself to become frustrated by the time it takes to get there but allow yourself to enjoy the passion and excitement that can come with the possibility.

The goal this month is to become grounded enough in our body and our present reality that we allow ourselves to safely experience a healthy range of emotions without feeling carried away by them. We can honor our emotions without allowing them to overtake us. We can allow our flesh to be an intentional home to us, more than a vehicle that carries us around and protects our organs. We can be the inner child who feels, needs, and depends while also being the inner mother who nurtures, provides, and supports. We are both. We are responsible for acknowledging, feeling, and regulating our own emotions. How can we do this if we are not present enough to recognize the emotions we are experiencing? Presence is most important. Hold space for what’s actually happening in the moment and for the emotional memory stored in the body that is being triggered by the moment. Awareness within our body, our most personal home is the key to making peace between the two.

The Full Moon in Capricorn which will form a conjunction to Pluto comes through to test the emotional stability we intend to cultivate from the inception of this moon cycle. We are faced with the reality of the foundational changes that we have to make. The Capricorn Full Moon conjunct Pluto will feel like realizing that instead of remodeling we actually need to be demolishing and just building something new. It’s not to say the emotional labor we do during the moon’s waxing period will be in vain. It will just be that the more we uncover within ourselves the more we realize that there is even more to uncover. The Full Moon will create deeper exposure to self. The New Moon will be a gentle invitation that eases us into the the labyrinth, while the Full Moon is when the light comes on to reveal to us that the comfort we have been dwelling in has been the unsafest space for us all along. It will reveal to us that the soul level since of security we truly seek only comes once we remove the illusion that superficial physical comfort brings. Comfort can create resistance to change versus security and stability which ensure the ability to handle change and possibly even adjust to it. The body as our home means that we can feel secure in any situation because safety is truly wherever we are. When you truly feel safe in your body, inside your being, inside the world you create for yourself, you truly become unshakable. The body as a home, with a solid foundation. We learn the true extent of that this season.

Feelings. Sensations. Intuition. Safety. Memories. Home. Meditate on these ideas.

Astro for June 21, 2022

The first day of summer… let’s try not to react in the heat of the moment but no shame if you do. It’s okay if you’re feeling a little crabby today we have the Cancer Sun square the Aries moon.

A ramble of last night’s late-night thoughts inspired by today’s forecast:

Waning moon in Aries square sun that just entered Cancer challenging us to confront and then let go of our anger. The Moon conjunct Jupiter in Aries allows us to find a constructive outlet for our anger today. Also seeing how our anger has been fueled by deeper emotions. Thanks to Jupiter we can ponder on our rage a bit more today to understand where it originated. Cancer season inspires us to tap into our emotional memory. Water as an element holds memory. Moon in Aries shows emotional reactivity, reactions and triggers are more so linked to memories than they are to the present moment. When you feel your triggers taking you back to emotions stored from the past, allow yourself to recognize the pattern to become aware of it without rushing to change it or criticize it. just acknowledge it. “The feeling I feel now reminds me of how I felt when _____”  think about how you usually allow this feeling to influence your behavior. Take a second and think about how you’d want your behavior to influence your emotion. Rather than react as a result of emotion, allow your action to inspire a new emotion. Once we have the awareness we can make the change, yet it takes a few times of just practicing the awareness before we can graduate to actually implement the change.

Don’t let emotional impulsivity lead you astray today. And if your emotions do get away from you don’t shame yourself. Pat yourself on the back for awareness, even if it’s in retrospect. I’ve been realizing that the idea that everyone should just be emotionally responsible is quite ableist. There can be a multitude of reasons as to why someone might not be able to “control their emotions.” Whether it be neurodivergency, results of trauma/PTSD, or any other valid causes of emotional dysregulation it’s just not realistic to expect everyone to be in control of their emotions all the time. It’s not always about our immediate reaction so much as it’s about our recovery. If you say or do something in the heat of the moment that you’re not proud of shaming yourself will not help you. The best decision you can make after the fact is to reflect, take accountability, and apologize if necessary. the people who love you shouldn’t hold it against you if they know that you were just having a moment. And we will have those moments cuz we’re human but as long as we remember our humanity by considering the humanity of others it’s okay.

We as humans do hold memory, but the great thing about is that we’re like vhs tapes. If there’s a memory that isn’t sitting right with you, you have the right to film over the one you don’t want to make a new one. Now it’s not as simple as just recording over it. It does take a few extra steps and repetition to download a new memory to replace another one but it is not impossible. It takes slowing down so that we can catch ourselves in that split second between the trigger and the reaction. It takes slowing down to remember that we are in the present and we don’t have to put ourselves through the pain of reliving the past. It takes looking around at your current environment and the person across from you to see that this is not the same space you were hurt in before, it doesn’t have to be the same outcome.

The Jupiter/Moon combo square to Lilith could also cause us to confront hidden feelings of shame and disempowerment. Lilith inspires us to protect ourselves and prevent us from falling victim to anymore pain, unfair treatment, or the malicious intentions of others. We must ponder the bravery of vulnerability and the ways we can protect ourselves without robbing ourselves of the opportunity to embrace vulnerability and sensitivity. How can we set healthy boundaries without completely closing ourselves off?

Pisces Moon square Gemini Mercury. Venus square Saturn. Jupiter sextile Mercury. Venus sextile Neptune.

The moon in Pisces can lead us to a continuation of the themes of rest brought up yesterday by Neptune’s influence. The square from Mercury in Gemini to the moon could bring resistance from our thinking mind and all it’s brewing ideas. Rest doesn’t necessarily mean you have to lay down, sleep, or turn your mind off. Rest can also include daydreaming, fantasizing, and allowing your mind to choose peaceful thoughts. When logic attempts to pull your head from the clouds invite knowledge up to the clouds to expand its view. Logic says “that’s not possible” or “that’s not realistic” and imagination can respond back “you just haven’t considered this as a possibility.” Let logic be a supportive tool to the imagination.

The moon in Pisces square Mercury has the potential to create mental and emotional overwhelm for some people. The mutable energy of Gemini and Pisces, paired with them being the free floating and flowing elements of air and water respectively, can bring a sense of ungroundedness. On the emotional front, we could feel very much so in the emotion and simultaneously made of emotion. We’re feeling sensitive, connected, and ethereal. We could be feeling the need to move at a slower pace and just allow ourselves to be. Pisces energy allow us to lean more into that which cannot be seen by the eye but must be felt or fantasized. Pisces moon transits bring us more in touch with our inner world.

For those who have not been the most present and intentional with their own personal universe and spirit, they could feel the overwhelm. The square from Mercury will exacerbate their feelings with incessant thoughts that could feel to be going in a twisted circle. It could feel like a warp of thoughts and emotions that they are tied up in. The more they attempt to distract themselves the louder and more twisted everything could seem to get. Relief from such a labyrinth can come in the forms of writing, talking, creative outlets, and good ole fashioned feeling through the emotion. Pisces moon gone draw it out of us every single time, especially since right now the moon is in waning gibbous so we are meant to be releasing. There might be tears for some people today. When we cry for long periods of time, our brain releases oxytocin, which is a feel good, pain alleviating love chemical, and other endorphins. Whoever might cry today, I hope you enjoy your beautiful waterfall and the rainbow that comes after.

Utilize this Pisces moon and Gemini Mercury combo to create the inner world, dialogue, and sanctuary you want for yourself. If your thoughts are something you usually feel called to run from sit and have a conversation with them. Avoidance is not the way today. Take the time to understand and have grace for your inner workings, it makes it all easier to work with.

We are still experiencing the square between Saturn and Venus, love could be testing our patience today. or maybe we are testing love’s patience? There could be feelings of hesitation, doubt, unworthiness, and limitation in relation to love, money, and value. We could feel insecure because of lack mentality inspiring feelings of scarcity. There may also be lessons about how to be more responsible with what we value. The mutable and possibly frazzled energy brought by the Pisces & Gemini energy today could result in losing or damaging something we care about. It may not be lost for good or a lot of damage, this could be a dent or scratch and maybe the point is to value the thing more and the function of it rather than the look or other superficial reasons. We are considering how our current values will fit into our future and long-term decision-making. As we get older and wiser our tastes and values change, we are realizing what is really important to us. Be present with your growth today.

The Jupiter sextile to Mercury and Neptune sextile to Venus today bring relief to the squares I mentioned. We are able to experience more expansive and open-minded thinking today. As well as, feeling more open and compassionate with our hearts. Although, I think these are benefits we reap once we allow ourselves to work through any issues brought to our awareness by the squares. Love, imagination, and wisdom are open and available to us whenever we open ourselves up and surrender to them. Jupiter in Aries reminds us that opening up and surrendering is not a passive act, it takes courage.

Moon conjunct Saturn forming a square to Venus. Neptune sextile Venus and Pluto. Needs or wants. Security or pleasure. Why should we have to choose?

“You are allowed to relax into the pleasure and abundance you have right now, even as you are working towards creating more for yourself.”

Today, the moon is conjunct to Saturn in Aquarius while both form a square to Venus in Taurus. Our relationships and values may be at odds with our emotional accountability. It could be that a romantic partner challenges us to be more responsible for our emotions. Or as we reflect on the consequences of our emotional behaviors we also have a better view of the ways the relationships and things we value have triggered us emotionally. Some people could be feeling insecure because of their finances today as they are caught between prioritizing their needs or their wants. The Aquarius moon conjunct Saturn makes us feel more practical today. We may be taking inventory of the things we own and realizing that a lot of our possessions are just placeholders rather than items than bring us joy.

Venus is at the 24th degree which is a degree associated with Pisces energy. Pisces energy is usually detached from the material aspect and more in line with how things feel in our spirit. Today could be a good day to clean house and donate what you don’t need since Pisces energy is also charitable. As you go through your possessions take the time to ask yourself “how does this item make me/my spirit feel? Does it bring me joy? Does it bring me inspiration? Does it make me feel uplifted or creative?” If the answer is no, consider who you think would be able to experience such feelings with that item and give it to them.

We might be pondering long term financial security today and how that relates to our greater sense of purpose. The Saturn/Moon conjunction may remind us that what’s most important is doing what makes us feel secure but also accepting that we have to be uncomfortable sometimes to get to the point of feeling secure. Anything that is for the purpose of (sustainable) security takes some type of preparation whether it be building or training. The square to Venus reminds us that if we want to guarantee our needs be met sometimes it comes at sacrificing certain indulgences. The North Node is in the mix too with a loose conjunction to Venus and also squaring the Moon & Saturn. When we consider our destiny, a lot of times we ponder more on the outcome of victory than the journey necessary to get there. It can feel like the destination is so far and all we want to do is get there. We have to remember to be present with the journey because that is how we can actually take the opportunity to enjoy it. This is also how we broaden our definition of “enjoyment” by taking pleasure and finding joy in the moments that aren’t inherently rosy. Joy is not a destination we arrive at, it’s a feeling we create for ourselves.

How can we lean into joy in the midst of discomfort? Imagination is the answer. Neptune forms a sextile to Venus and Pluto who trine each other. Never underestimate the power of intentional romanticization and imagination. When we arrive to certain parts of our journey that seem tedious, frustrating, or difficult how can we change our perspective to make the work we have to do more appealing to us? Think about how you would want to look back and tell the story, when you think about the outcome you want consider how magical it will be to tell the hard parts you had to go through to get to your miracle. Consider the miracles that are working in your favor right now that you can’t see. Instead of looking at it like “ugh this week I have to spend all this money, run all these errands, make these phone calls, and do all these tasks I don’t want to do” an example of reframing is “Wow I get to exercise the abundance I have now so that it can grow stronger into more abundance. I’m so thankful that the money I’m spending now is going towards something that is beneficial to me. I’m thankful that I even have this money to spend. Wow my chariot is about to take me to all of the places I need to go as stepping stones to my happily ever after. I look forward to corresponding with the people who can help me to reach my goals. I’m sure that they will be pleasant and impart the wisdom necessary for me to carry along with me on the next part of my quest. Wow I was really blessed with my super power capabilities to finish this task swiftly and efficiently and have fun while doing it.”

That might seem so extra and cliche but that’s just one example. You can dress up and glamorize your life as you see fit. This includes making yourself look as glamorous as you want to feel, even when you’re just running errands. Your life is an epic, like the Odyssey. Your story is a tale of the hero’s journey. Don’t wait until you’ve made it to the destination to try to recall the beauty of the journey. Don’t wait until your award winning speech to give thanks. Practice gratitude and enjoy the view from right now. The view from the top of the mountain is glorious but the view from each step of the trek is unique. Allow yourself to stop and enjoy the view at various points of the journey, don’t just let it all pass you by. Yes you have to do the work and yes you have to keep walking up hill on a slant at times, but you are always allowed to take a beat to give yourself credit and enjoy the simple pleasures as necessary. You are allowed to relax into the pleasure and abundance you have right now, even as you are working towards creating more for yourself.

Moon in Aquarius. Sun square Neptune

Make room in your life for ego and spirit, may there be peace and cooperation between them.

Today, the Moon is in Aquarius forming a sextile to Chiron, the eternally wounded healer. We can expect to have sentiments of collective healing on our hearts and minds. When the moon is in Aquarius it gives us the opportunity to create healthy distance from our emotions so that we can look at situations objectively without getting overtaken by the currents of our feelings. Today, we might consider the inner work we need to do in order to improve our cooperation with others. Especially since the moon is waning, we are clearing out old ideals to make way for more effective healing and clearer perspective.

The Sun square Neptune can be a harsh push back to reality. Today we are made aware of the ways we have been attempting to ignore reality in order to focus on how we wish things were. This aspect can feel like a harsh reality check for people who have been falling into habits of escapism. They could start to see just how much they’ve been neglecting themselves and their lives. If they have been placating themselves with unhealthy distractions that have created the illusion that life has gotten better ,those distractions could be stripped from them today and they see that their life situation has actually been stagnant or even regressed due to their negligence.

This is a day to take it is easy with the Sun, the symbol of life and vitality, square to Neptune, the planet of rest, dreams, and all that is hidden from the public eye. Some of us might want to be in hiding today to recharge, be creative, and have privacy to do the aforementioned inner work. Today is not the day to push yourself too hard for there is a chance of “cracking open” so to speak. It can feel like any mask that we wear in the world is starting to falter and expose our vulnerabilities to others. Any illusions that we have tried to maintain are no longer sustainable. It makes me think of in movies when someone is projecting this big voice over an intercom along with a big scary hologram being projected but the person behind the curtain is just an afraid little being. Let us take away the need to project ourselves as being big, bad, and fearless. Let us be honest about our softness and sensitivities. We must remember that we have nothing to prove. We have nothing to lose but our authenticity and when we re authentic we cannot lose.

The Sun forms a trine to Saturn which tells us to get real, like really real, like as realistic as possible. Today might feel like a day to sit with self and ask “who are you?” If you don’t quite know the answer that’s okay. The point is “identity” is just a mirage anyway. The idea of a fixed sense of self is the illusion. We are whoever we choose to be moment by moment. We are forever changing. Today, let us accept our fluidity. The things that we have been trying to hold tight to for the sake of maintaining who our ego told us to be are in jeopardy today. Although this may be hard to come to terms with it’s not a bad thing. We must find a way to reconcile the ego and the spirit. It is not about either or, it’s about cultivating a healthy relationship between both. The point of the ego and the physical body is to have a medium through which we can express our spirit. They work together. If you feel as though you’ve had to betray your spirit to appease your ego or as if you have been trying to kill your ego to appease your spirit give yourself permission to just be. Accept where you are without judgement. Sit with your ego and ask it what it needs to feel more secure and affirmed so that it doesn’t feel the need to scramble for attention. The moon in Aquarius is a great mediator for the communication between spirit and ego. Today’s moon allows us to embrace our uniqueness which is what affirms both the ego and the spirit. Be weird and be proud of what makes you weird. That is your superpower. Today, let us be kind to the part of us that cringes, that is the resistant part of our ego. That’s the part of us that really just needs a big ole hug. That’s the part of us that yearns for our own acceptance. Do all the things that would usually make you cringe and each time affirm yourself and feel how good it feels to be you, to love you, and to accept you.

We mediate the square between Neptune and the Sun by having grace and compassion for ourselves. The more empathy we practice on ourselves, the more we can share with others and that is how we contribute to collective healing. When we accept our eccentricities and we express them freely in the world, we inspire others to do the same. The best way to help others and contribute to collective healing is to help yourself by just being authentically yourself.

Full Moon in SAGITTARIUS

Need I say more?

Today, we are feeling the effects of the Sagittarius Full Moon. It won’t be exactly full until about 7:51am EST time tomorrow but we still experience the energy today and tomorrow. It’s best to celebrate/do your Full Moon practices today while the Moon is actually in Sagittarius because by tomorrow night it will be in Capricorn. The Sagittarius Full Moon is for releasing our doubt in order to make room for faith. This Full Moon illuminates what beliefs we are feeding into the most. It can feel like we’re coming to the end of a certain part of our journey. The point of any endings happening now is for the purpose of expansion towards what’s next. Full Moon in Sagittarius makes me think about how all good things must come to an end. Even if it’s something you enjoy, it’s okay to part from it. Sometimes we let go of things not because they’re bad for us or we need to purge but just because sometimes you just know it’s time for you to try something new.

The Sagittarius Full Moon helps us to identify any beliefs that we have outgrown. This is an opportunity to strengthen the faith we already have. This Full Moon shines a light on where our faith falters and challenges us to let go of anything that hinders or lessens our faith. This is also an opportunity to reflect on just how far our faith has gotten us. We can show appreciation to ourselves for showing up with such strong hope, believing in ourselves, and sticking to our faithful practices. We can show appreciation to our higher power or whatever we put our belief in that has been getting us through. The best way to honor ourselves and our higher (inner) power is to live courageously in our most authentic truth. Let your truth be your gospel. If it doesn’t feel true and authentic then it’s not for you.

The Sagittarius Full Moon exposes what we have missed out on while we’ve stayed in our comfort zone. Sagittarius energy reminds us there’s so much out there in the world to explore. It also reminds us of the rich inner world we have to explore within our beings. We are exposed to how we have put our faith in external things and we are challenged to turn that same faith and attention inward. The Sagittarius Full Moon charges us with the light of adventure and abundance. Allow yourself to stand under the moon tonight and ask it to fill you with courage, optimism, and unshakeable faith while relieving you of doubt, fear, and feelings of lack.

The Sagittarius Full Moon can also show us what we have been avoiding. This Full Moon challenges blind faith. Faith with no bases will be shattered today. Some of us might have to do some new age spirituality deconditioning during the waning period. Toxic positivity and spiritual bypassing will no longer be tolerated. The point of spirituality is not to disconnect from reality but to have a richer experience in our reality. If your faith has been only centered around manifestation today could be a humbling experience for you as you learn the work it takes to cultivate a spiritual practice that is both grounding and uplifting. A lot of spirituality is just a reflection of how you move in reality. Are you actual living in alignment with what you say you believe? Do you make decisions with your morals and beliefs in mind? Do you only lean on your faith when times are bad or when you want something?

For those of us who have been living in our truth and really honoring what we believe, we will be reaping the benefits. Especially when we have been walking in faith without the expectation of the blessings to come. It could feel like the things your heart has been set on but your mouth didn’t even whisper are coming to life. As people say “God knows your heart”. The Universe is always watching and listening, not only to what our words say but to the whispers of our spirit and the songs in our heart. Let us remember to honor the relationship we’ve built with our higher power, guides, and ancestors. Treat today like yall’s anniversary or a really nice date night. How can you honor, romance, and show affection to the energy/entities that have made it all possible for you? For some people this could look like offerings at an altar and to others this could look like spending time “alone” to honor yourself and the God consciousness/ancestors are alive and well within you. However, you practice is unique to you and is very valid.

Another thing to say is if you have been practicing spirituality that you’ve seen someone else do this is your time to actually sit down with self and be honest about whether it has felt authentic, fitting, or helpful for you. Spirituality doesn’t look one way. You and your guides will have your own special relationship and your own unique way of practicing. Just because it worked for someone else doesn’t mean its for you. Just because it didn’t work someone else doesn’t mean it won’t work for you. Listen to your spirit and you will naturally find yourself in the practice that is meant for you.

In other news, Mercury reenters Gemini today at 11:27am EST. This is after Mercury regressed into Taurus during the retrograde period. Now that Mercury is back in direct motion and soon to be in it’s home sign once again, we can feel the clarity return to our way of thinking and speaking. We are feeling chatty and confident in our voices once again, after the confusion and miscommunication of the retrograde had us too frustrated to speak. It feels like we’re getting back on track with our regular programming. Mercury went retrograde at 4 degrees of Gemini so we still have a few days of revisiting the ideas and revelations we gained in the first few days of retrograde. If you had an idea that didn’t go to plan or a conversation that got lost in translation, if you feel it is worth it this could be a great time to make a second attempt. We can now put into effect all the new insight we gained during Mercury retrograde after the introspection and correction we did. Show your brain some love today too.

We can acknowledge the ways in which both knowledge/logic and faith/philosophical wisdom guide us through life. That is how we bring balance to the opposition that is the full moon. I didn’t say this earlier but its helpful to know that a Full Moon happens when the Moon opposes the Sun. So, Full Moons are a time for us to try to bring balance to the Yin and the Yang. So today that would be logic and faith. Most times, logic is what inspires our doubt and blind faith is the cause for neglect of logic. Today, let us practice informed faith. That is where we find the balance.

This was a bit long and all over the place! Let me know your thoughts <3 Happy Full Moon my lovely peeps!!

Aspects between the Moon, Mercury, Saturn, and Neptune. “Emotional resolution is not a finish line. You don’t have to rush to feel better.”

“So often, we try to escape our feelings by avoiding presence. Yet it is presence that allows us to actually heal our feelings.”

We are creeping up on this full moon, or should I say it’s creeping up on us. Before we make it there, we still got the Moon in scorpio all day. The Scorpio Moon forms a square to Saturn in Aquarius. The Scorpio Moon has probably already exposed the intensity of some of our emotional woes. We’ve had to sit with and move through some uncomfortable feelings. Now that the Moon is square to Saturn we have to be accountable for what we may have said and done based off of these feelings. It is possible that something could have triggered you in the past couple days. How do you feel about the way you reacted to the trigger? Were you able to communicate your needs and emotions effectively?

The Moon also is in opposition to Mercury. So there is a T-square between the Moon, Saturn, and Mercury. We want to make sure that we are not allowing our emotions to rule the day. Even if you are feeling hurt, be sure to take accountability for your part in your own suffering. The Scorpio Moon can make it easy to fall into a victim mindset or to be emotionally manipulative. The harsh aspects from Saturn and Mercury can feel like a three-way tug of war between emotions, logic, and accountability. Do not punish or shame yourself for how you feel. That is not accountability. The way to alleviate the tension caused by this aspect is first validating your emotions, allowing yourself to just feel them as they are. Then after you’ve been present with the emotion write it down, question it, allow your logic to bring balance to how you feel. Then after you’ve identified the emotion, sat with it, and gotten a logical understanding of it, then and only then, can you do the work to accept the situation or change it as you see fit.

This is an opportunity for growth. I cannot stress enough that shame is what we don’t want to give our energy to today. It can feel very easy to either be the victim or be the punisher. We don’t have to be either of those. We can be someone with valid emotions who knows that they don’t want to continue feeling the way that they do. It’s possible to know that your emotions are valid and still know that the way you acted on them was unacceptable. If it is feeling hard for you to get your emotions under control today, don’t be afraid to take space. You’re allowed to feel how you feel and not want to affect other people’s energy/space with the heaviness of your own aura today. The Moon opposite Mercury, with Saturn kinda caught in the middle can make it easy for it to feel like the words are just stuck in our throats. Maybe we know what needs to be said but we’re not ready to say the words just yet. That’s okay. Saturn reminds us to take our time. Emotional resolution is not a finish line. You don’t have to rush to feel better. You don’t have to rush to make amends. Only say it or do it when it feels organic and authentic to you. These things take time. Take all the time you need. If you rush yourself into speaking up or “feeling better” before you are ready then it won’t be genuine and will only cause piled up emotions of resentment later.

The Moon is trine to Neptune which is sextile to Mercury. When it feels like logic and time are not helping the situation it is Neptune who offers spirituality and detachment as helpful tools of healing. The Scorpio Moon can have us feeling really attached to our emotions, feeling controlling or possessive about certain things. Attachment is a huge part of suffering. Examples of how attachment causes suffering are when we cannot see ourselves without someone or something, when we heavily identify with our emotions to the point that we don’t allow them to move freely and leave when it’s time. Let the trine between the Moon and Neptune remind us that we can be weightless. That we can open our hands and give our problems to whatever higher power we believe in our we can even see outside ourselves long enough to know we don’t have to feel this way. We don’t have to sink deeper into these painful feelings to the point that it feels torturous. Sometimes it takes the effort to detach from the past, where most of our pain and suffering comes from (the past and our attachment to it). So often, we try to escape our feelings by avoiding presence. Yet it is presence that allows us to actually heal our feelings. The avoidance only makes the healing process more challenging. So don’t let Neptune’s trine cause you to lean into escapism, rather lean into the present moment and see how weightless it feels to just be here rather than to relive the hurt.

*deep sigh* take a deep breath and remind yourself that just because it hurts now doesn’t mean it will hurt forever. I love you. Take care <3

Venus conjunct Uranus with opposition from the Moon. Love or fear? Freedom or fear? Which will you choose?

Today, Venus makes a conjunction with Uranus. Venus is the planet that rules love, relationships, beauty, money, pleasurable experience, art, and attraction. Uranus rules innovation, revolution, rebellion, radical thinking, unpredictable change, and advancement toward the future. When these two planets combine in conjunction we can expect changes in our relationships, our views on love, beauty standards, and money. You might end up spending or receiving an unexpected amount of money during these next few days if you haven’t already. Some people might feel called to change their appearance to align with their more radical and inclusive perception of beauty. We might be seeing people embrace what makes them “weird”.

The Moon over in Scorpio actually opposes this conjunction. The Scorpio Moon has us deeply in our feels. We are transforming, transmuting, and evolving with our emotions. As we make these aesthetic changes or we find a new sense of personally cultivated financial freedom, it is this Scorpio Moon that will help make these new beliefs stick. We have to do the deeper work to see why we resisted our freedom, our eccentricity, or even love. Today, we learn about the freedom and revolutionary nature of love. We choose to love freely because we realize that it sets us free from our own emotional torture.

We must be mindful of this Scorpio Moon so that we don’t suffocate love with fears and possessiveness. We cannot allow fear to diminish love. In The Four Agreements, I remember Don Miguel Ruiz mention’s how every emotion we experience either stems from love or fear. So today, as you feel your way through discern from which of these your emotions are born. Ask yourself which you would rather choose: love or fear? Love sets us free. Our fears can paralyze and hold us captive if we let them.

Sometimes we don’t allow ourselves to see the beauty in life because we feel weighed down with despair. If you have been feeling the weight of the world and your own emotions it’s a great idea to write a gratitude list today. Surround yourself with beautiful things. Give yourself today to choose to see the beauty in yourself. Rise to the challenge of seeing yourself and speaking over yourself with the most loving eyes and words. Loving, valuing, and appreciating yourself is a revolution in a society that tells us we are not enough unless we have enough stuff.

Today, practice a level of healthy detachment. How can you start or further the process from detaching from this world’s fucked up standard of beauty? Get off social media for the day. Look at yourself in the mirror and see yourself without the need to compare your image to others that you have seen. Tell yourself that you are the standard. Get intimate with yourself. Touch yourself. It doesn’t have to be in a sexual way (unless you want it to be). Be sensual with yourself. Be sweet with yourself. Hold space even for the parts that feel too heavy, dark, or pessimistic to love. Don’t shame yourself for wanting to be loved. Don’t shame yourself for the ways a lack of love has caused you to behave in your search for more affection and tenderness. Validate your experience and then allow yourself to choose differently with your new understanding of love as a pathway to freedom.

As changes arise in your relationship, financial situation, personal tastes, and understanding of pleasure it can be scary or uncomfortable. Do not choose comfort overgrowth right now. You might feel like you’ve been uprooted. You might even feel slighted about the time you spent being misguided or lying to yourself. Allow yourself to feel grounded by being present with the emotion. Don’t run from the feeling of vulnerability. We can get so attached to some of our ideals that it feels like they become us. Some of these changes can make your world feel like it’s crashing down. This is when that detachment comes in. You are more than your appearance. You are more than just a romantic partner to someone. You are worth more than the money in your bank account. It could feel after all of this change like you’ve lost a piece of yourself. Truth is you may lose parts of the conditioned self in order to make way for the liberated parts of yourself.  As some things fall apart remember that if it is falling away then it’s not for you. Embrace truth. Embrace freedom.

Thanks to the Moon’s aspects to Saturn and Pluto we are gaining wisdom from reminiscing on our past experiences, listening to our elders, and being present with our emotions. Forgive yourself today.

Today, we are experiencing the last degrees of the moon’s transit through Scorpio. Around 4:42 pm EST the moon will enter Scorpio, so let us emotionally prepare ourselves for that. Before the moon enters Scorpio though, we experience a trine between the Libra moon and Aquarius Saturn, who is currently in retrograde. Today, we are feeling harmony between our emotional well-being and our sense of responsibility. We can hold ourselves accountable without shame and judgment. The Aquarius Saturn’s trine supports the Libra moon in boundary setting and our ability to feel grounded in our intuition today.

The moon also forms a square to Pluto which can make today feel very emotional. Due to this and the Saturn retrograde, we are reminiscing on moments where we weren’t practicing our self-control and we gave away our power. We might be visited by memories of times when we lacked boundaries or the times we disrespected our own boundaries. Don’t get so caught up in the feelings of the past. Let these feelings be your teacher.

Aquarius Saturn trine to the Libra moon can also indicate support from the elders in our lives. Your momma, grandma, supervisor, or someone that has a sense of authority in your life might drop some much-needed wisdom on you today. It actually could be an uncomfortable truth, but it won’t be hard to digest because their delivery will be intentional and you’ll know it’s what you need to hear. It also could be that you are an elder to someone else and you are handing out the advice today. Those memories I mentioned before could be where some of this wisdom comes from. You won’t want others to take the same path. You could be trying to warn others to be cautious of making the same mistakes or having to learn the lessons the hard way as you did.

Mercury and Pluto’s trine that has been building is exact today, so we feel the full effects of this aspect today. Some of us are feeling confident in our voices today. We have found the strength to say what everyone else is afraid to. Mercury’s trine to Pluto helps us to better verbalize the feelings we experience due to Pluto’s square to the moon. As we continue to ease our way out of this Mercury Retrograde shadow period, which lasts another week, we can feel ourselves become more certain of our thoughts as the mental fog clears. Pluto helps us to brave the remaining fog without the fear of getting lost in it. We are the master of our thoughts.

Today, as certain memories arise it could be helpful to consider how emotional manipulation and gaslighting have affected you in the past. If you can, without being too triggered, let yourself recall what that felt and look like. I recommend this so that you are able to identify what that type of treatment looks like so that it doesn’t happen again. Maybe you’ll realize that its still happening to you by someone in your life or maybe you’ve learned how to turn this type of behavior on yourself. If you realize that you have been unintentionally gaslighting yourself, take some time today and the following days to learn how to validate yourself. We can only process our emotions by take the first steps to acknowledge and validate them.

Today, when you feel an emotion arise in your body ask it questions and examine where the feeling is in your body. Ask it: “Why did you arise? Where did you come from? When have I felt this emotion or a similar one before? What are you here to teach me? What is the best way for me to support you?” And if you need to, apologize to yourself today for the time you’ve spent neglecting or gaslighting your emotional self. We carry no shame today. We allow ourselves to see the truth objectively and speak on it when necessary. We are seeing our emotional growth and we are challenging ourselves to show up as this newer more mature version of ourselves who is uplifted, rather than weighed down, by knowledge from our pasts.

The Libra Moon and Aries Mars face off in opposition today. “It’s okay if you’re fed up and you need to give somebody a piece of your mind in order to obtain your peace of mind.”

Today, we experience the Libra Moon in opposition to Mars in its home sign of Aries. We might feel a little short tempered today. The Libra moon could us feel really emotional in our personal relationships, while the Aries Mars could cause us to express our strong emotions via irritability or anger. It’s really important that we take the time to slow down and communicate our feelings before we jump into the deep end by acting impulsively based on our emotions. If you’re feeling neglected or forgotten about by friends, family, or a parter, tell them. Give them the chance to try to fix it if they are willing. Sometimes we assume people should know how we feel or we expect certain behaviors from people. This is the perfect day to remind ourselves to take nothing personal. Usually, people are only thinking of themselves, which isn’t a bad thing. In our personal existence we have to center ourselves, we have to be selfish to a certain extent. It’s not that people ever intentionally forget about you, they just focus more on themselves sometimes.

If you feel like everyone else forgot about you, maybe it’s time to reflect and make sure you’re not projecting your own feelings of self neglect on other people. Today’s transits are suitable for focusing on the relationship we have with ourselves, ie the most important relationship in our lives. Consider what you hope for out of a friend and/or lover and choose to show up for yourself in that way today. This could look like taking yourself on a date, buying yourself flowers, just listening to yourself talk, running yourself a bath, or anything that involves showing up for yourself. If you’re feeling a lack of patience with others today, try to practice more patience and compassion for self and watch how it stretches to your interactions with others too.

The Moon trines the Sun today, so we are feeling more of the chatty air energy of Gemini and Libra. So for those of us who have the energy we can feel quite collaborative today. We could be having some insightful conversations and learning new information about the people in our lives. We could experience an abundance of mental enrichment and be filled with ideas. You might want to get cozy with a book or fascinating articles if you don’t feel like peopling today. If you have a memoir in your current “to be read” list, today would be a great day to start it.

We have to be sure not to allow the moon’s opposition from Mars cause us to let competition, comparison, jealousy, or aggravation to get in the way of the mental connection and stimulation we can experience with others today. We must also be mindful that other people who aren’t aware of the super charged Martian energy could let it get the best of them. If someone brings trouble to your door today, don’t be afraid to tell them where they can shove it. The Libra moon makes us want to be all PC (politically correct) and choose peace. Sometimes the ways in which we go about getting peace isn’t politically correct. It’s okay if you’re fed up and you need to give somebody a piece of your mind to obtain your peace of mind. It’s nothing wrong with being unbothered but it’s also nothing wrong for advocating for yourself when you are bothered. Don’t let the Libra moon make you feel like you have to brush off disrespect, especially if your soul, spirit, mind, and/or body doesn’t actually feel settled after the attempted brush off. Now, I’m not telling you to be in these streets going back and forth with people. Speak up and then move on. Anger is not the shared experience we want today.

It’s important that I say, the libra moon opposite Mars in its home sign could cause some people’s anger to be very implosive or explosive. There’s a lot of emotional fuel being thrown on the fire. If you find yourself in a state of rage or anger, it’s okay to find a safe outlet for it. Don’t be ashamed of how you feel. As long as you are not hurting anyone else or destroying property, let your anger do what it do baby. You’ll feel so much better afterwards. Scream into a pillow. Punch a soft surface. Throw something (that either isn’t damaging or has minimal damage that can be cleaned up). Tenderize some meat. Scrub tf out of your stove. Exercise. Whatever works for youuuuuu

Today, we experience a kite and learn to be the wind beneath our own wings while enjoying the company of others.

The moon enters Libra today at about 11:22am this morning EST. While the moon is right at the last degree of Virgo and the earliest degrees of Libra it forms a kite with some of the other planets. A kite in astrology is made up of 3 astrological bodies that form a grand trine to each other (a trine happens when planets are about 120 degrees apart, usually they are in signs that share the same element) and then one astrological body opposes one of the planets involved in the grand trine. It is demonstrated by the blue triangle with a red line running through it on the natal chart that is the cover picture for today’s blog.

So the Moon, Pluto, and Mercury form a grand earth trine together (until the Moon moves into Libra and disrupts a bit of the earth energy to bring in some air) and Neptune in Pisces opposes the moon, adding water to the mix. Usually, a grand trine represents ease of flow that doesn’t require a lot of action, which sometimes can lead to expectations for things to work out and a lack of effort. So when the opposition is added to make a kite, it brings some spice and pizzazz that urges us to come out of our comfort zone to take action. Since the opposition in the kite is specifically between Virgo moon and Pisces Neptune, it feels like we are being urged to put our imagination to work to elevate and improve our current situation. For the past few days in Virgo, you’ve probably been doing the logistics and planning but now it’s time to practice a little bit of surrender by leaning into our faith.

Now, surrendering is not equivalent to just letting whatever happen and not being an active participant in what happens today. Matter of fact, we must also consider that the Moon also opposes Jupiter who is at 4 degrees Aries. When I think of Jupiter in Aries I think of walking by and acting in faith, rather than sight. When we surrender we are really just acknowledging that we’ve done the physical work and we acknowledge we’ve done enough of that. Now, there’s nothing else to do but prepare ourselves mentally for what is to come as a result of our work. The art of detaching from the expectation of what exactly is the result of the work but believing that whatever it is will be great and we will be grateful for it. Walking by faith is acting as if whatever you want is already done and just waiting to be incorporated into your physical reality.

As the moon enters Libra today, we are going to feel inclined to pair up, seek justice, practice fairness, observe and indulge in the beauty of life, and be considerate of others. Now, this is all fine and dandy, however, the opposition from Aries Jupiter says don’t get caught up tryna do for others what you won’t do for self. Don’t let your need for company/fear of loneliness block you from pursuing the blessings and opportunities that are specifically for you. Jupiter is actually usually very much so the monarch of generosity, always willing to share, but while it’s in Aries its reminding us that everyone can’t go where we’re going. That’s not to say kick your friends to the curb, it’s just a reminder that certain things are only for you and your friends also have some opportunities that are specific to them. We can work alongside each other, but we cannot do the work for each other. We don’t have the same assignment so it’s not quite a group project but it’s definitely not a competition either.

Mercury is still in post retrograde forming a square to Saturn in retrograde, I would say be mindful of speaking too soon on your opportunities right now. This isn’t even about the evil eye or anything like that, more so just because plans can still change or it can put a lot of pressure on you to have so many people expecting a certain outcome. If you are someone who often finds yourself sharing prospective good news or telling your friends about your desires because you need their good energy, challenge yourself today to have faith in your own self that doesn’t need the validation of others. Moon in Libra represents a comfort zone that can be dependent upon other people. I know sometimes we all need reassurance but sometimes we depend on outside reassurance to the point that we never exercise that muscle for ourselves. Sometimes we need to be able to sit with our own faith and water it so that we can feel validated, hopeful, and believe in ourself just because we deserve that from ourselves, not because someone else told us it’s okay to.

Lean into your personal reservoir of faith, optimism, and self belief. You’ve been doing the work to get it done. The next step is to allow yourself to relax into your faith. Stop scrambling. Don’t overdo it. Don’t rush to tell someone else about the work you’ve done. Sit with the work. Reflect on what you’ve done, let this be something you have for yourself for once. Don’t judge the work, don’t look for flaws. Just let yourself and your ideas be for a moment. In the silence and the stillness the opportunity, the next step, the miracle, and more will reveal themselves to you. Don’t make movements for the sake of just doing something. When it’s time to do something else you will know. When it’s time for others to know, they will. Right now enjoy yourself, enjoy communion, enjoy beautiful things without the pressure to share, give, or do beyond what you have. Today, all you need is faith, your own reassurance, and good company that demands nothing of you but your authenticity and presence. That can be easier said than practiced but give yourself permission to not try and to just be. You’ll be surprised to where that can lead you.

We at the first quarter moon yall!!! (wait what dat mean?)

The moon is still in Virgo today (tap into yesterday’s blog post for more info about what that means.) However, today the moon forms a square to the Sun and a trine to Uranus. It’s giving coming through with the facts and challenging the nay sayers. The moon square to the Sun means we are halfway between last week’s new moon and next week’s full moon. The current moon phase is called the first quarter because the moon has revolved a quarter of the way around the Earth since the new moon. When you look at the moon tonight or even when you looked at it last night you might’ve noticed it was half full as the right side was lit up and the left side is dark, that’s how you know it’s a quarter moon.

This quarter moon, as the halfway point between the new and full moon, reminds us to check in with the intentions we set during the new moon. How much progress have you made? Don’t be afraid to restructure your plans a little so that they work better for you and the place you’re in now. The Sun and Moon both being in mutable signs allows us to have more freedom of fluidity today and accept change of course as redirection happens.

The Moon square the Sun can cause a bit of tension, in the context of Virgo and Gemini, this can feel like a want to broadcast our ideas but feeling as if we are not ready. Gemini Sun is ready to get on the megaphone and make big announcements. The Virgo moon feels a lot more cautious and feels like we need to have more of the details together before we get up there and make a fool of ourselves. For some people, it could be that you have an actual deadline or showcase that you agreed to and you have no choice but to honor that. To the people who actually have to make a move today is it that you are genuinely not prepared or is that you won’t allow yourself to just be ready right now? Don’t downplay your own credentials and qualifications. They wouldn’t have asked you to do it if they didn’t think you were ready. Don’t cheat yourself out of an opportunity to show yourself the talent that you have and all that you are capable of.

Thankfully that trine from Uranus to the moon can help us flex our sense of freedom and dgaf attitude. If the spotlight is gonna be put on you anyway you might as well make the best of the opportunity. One of my favorite phrases that I don’t get to use often is “Rock out with my cock out!” I think today is a fitting day to tell you to rock out with yo mothaluvin cock out. Don’t let the Virgo perfectionist energy have you feeling like you’re not ready. Lean more into the energy of that trine from Uranus or even the Gemini energy both can be loud and uncaring when it comes to the expression of their truth. Even if today you give it your all and it’s still not at the level that you hoped, that’s okay, consider it practice. It’s better that you try today and see where you can improve so that you can do better next time than waiting and letting more fear and anticipation build. Once you do whatever the scary thing is that makes you feel unsure, on the other side of completion you’ll realize it wasn’t that bad and you can be proud of yourself for even trying.

It’s important to say too, build better habits in the privacy of your own home. Practice the confidence you wanna have in the real world, at home. The Sun is the persona that the world see, the part of us that has the spotlight. The Moon is who we are in private, at home, or with our emotions. It seems as though today we have to confront the disparity between who we are presenting ourselves to be and who we actually feel we are. Do you act like you have it all together in the face of others but crumble when you are alone? Or do you play small in front of others but internally you know your power? Whichever side of the coin you fall on, today would be useful to get these different aspects of yourself in alignment. If you feel like you’re a star then be a star, stars shine even when no one is around. Big up yourself! It don’t matter who is or ain’t around, you gotta be you regardless babe. Don’t neglect your personal well-being or tone down your confidence for the sake of anyone else that is not your job. *think of shawty from Drake & Josh who had the catch phrase “that is not my job” IYKYK shawty had hella attitude.* It is not your job to emotionally betray yourself. It is not your job to be who people expect or want you to be. Your only job is to master your own authenticity and enjoy life (and even then technically you don't have to do that either). I say all this to say, live yo life as loud and proud or even as quiet and reserved as you want to, but either way it’s about doing what you want to for you.

Also, if you are feeling just out of it, emotionally overwhelmed, or tired today lay yo ass down. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200. Lay tf down. The moon square the Sun can have some people feeling a bit drained of energy while others might feel a boost. For my peeps who feel the former, please don’t push yourself today, there is no reason to. Yesterday, I talked about Virgo’s association with health and service. The most important thing to focus on always but ESPECIALLY on a Virgo moon is our health and well-being physically, mentally, emotionally, and even spiritually. If one of these is not quite up to the standard of health you know it should be then let this be your day to recoup. Don’t feel pressured to put your needs aside to meet the wants of someone else. No, no, no. Rest, my love, please. You need it. You deserve it. I know it’s somebody that’s gone read this who knows they've been tired but have been too afraid of missing out on something or disappointing someone. It is not worth the burnout babe or the jeopardy of your health.

So yeah if you are the person who’s meant to show up and show out today, DO THAT SHIIITTTT. Show them who tf you are! Purrrr. I’m rooting for you! If you are the precious baby who needs to go lay down then please find your bed, put on some relaxing music, make some tea, put on your favorite movie, light some incense, phone a friend who can help your or chill with you or who makes you feel recharged. Do whatever you need to do for yourself care and do not feel guilty about it.

All right yall im outttttt

the line I was referring to lmao ( I just figured out I can add audio and video to the blog :) tomorrow yall might be getting an audio instead of a written post, but we shall see. i gotta be mindful of my fellow audio processing hotties who might have a hard time just listening without visual words to follow along)

The moon is in Virgo, let’s talk about itttttt

Today, the moon is in Virgo. That means that today’s energy is dedicated to organizing, observing, identifying, researching, analyzing, and being of service. Whenever the moon is in Virgo, it’s a great time for a cleanse, clean and intentional eating, and overall bringing our awareness to our health. Virgo is associated with the stomach and intestines, so our tummies might be a little sensitive today. I would definitely suggest getting in some probiotics, kombucha is always a great option. If you know you are lactose intolerant… pass on the cheese for today, please. Your stomach will thank you.

It’s important that we aren’t digesting anything we don’t have any business consuming today. This goes beyond food. Virgo energy can be prone to fixating on tiny details. So, whatever you’re giving your attention to today you might be very trained and focused on that thing or idea. You don’t want to be caught up overanalyzing something that is of no importance or even worse something that is draining. Emotionally, we can be feeling a bit anxious and unsettled. That perfectionist energy that Virgo is known for can have us all feeling like we’re under a microscope and even the smallest mess up will be noticed and ridiculed. Truth is, no one else is watching you that hard because they are too busy focused on themselves. You are the one under the microscope and the eye that looks through it. Be mindful of the lens that you are seeing yourself through, please be kind to yourself today. If you make a mistake don’t harp on it. Recently, my therapist helped me to reframe my narrative from “I don’t know what I’m doing” to “I’m learning”. That has been the theme of Gemini season for me. So when you feel like you are having a hard time figuring something out today or you’re not coming straight out the gate mastering that new skill, affirm yourself and give yourself the props for learning. As long as you are making an honest effort, that’s all that matters.

Now, since the moon is in Virgo and the Sun is in Gemini we have to talk about Mercury who is the ruler of both of these signs. We already know this Gemini season is bringing up a lot of communication, curiosity, questions, wit, versatility, and multi-tasking. We’re getting a double dose of this Mercurial energy during this moon transit. Virgo is the yin of Mercury, the one who receives and computes the information. Gemini is the yang of Mercury, the one who is ready to express the ideas (sometimes before getting all the facts). So it’s perfect that today the Moon (yin) is in Virgo and the Sun (yang) is in Gemini. Today, we are more focused on actually doing the research to back up the great ideas that have been brewing during this Gemini season. We are much more confident in our ideas today. Mercury is still in its post retrograde shadow period, so we are still experiencing some of the after-effects. This means we are still a bit internally focused, especially on the beauty of our minds. If you felt confused, foggy, or frustrated with your brain during this retrograde today might feel like some of that is clearing up. You could feel a greater appreciation for your intellect and mental processing today. If you have been overwhelmed by your thoughts and ideas today is a great day to put them down on paper.

It’s important to realize that maybe the fog you felt was just the accumulation of thoughts you weren’t addressing. The strong Mercurial influence paired with that square from Saturn, which is currently in retrograde, will not allow us to avoid our thoughts today. The fog only lifts once you address whatever it is that you feel has kinda been up in the air. What do you feel like is hanging over your head? What is the elephant in the room? Why do you choose to ignore it?

Today is a good day to practice a balance of certainty and flexibility. You can be certain of something while still being open to learning more or hearing a new perspective. Someone else’s knowledge is not a threat to your own. Don’t be afraid to open up dialogue today. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Don’t feel like learning from someone else makes you inferior. We all take turns being students and teachers. We have to be willing to learn in order to teach. Don’t judge the messenger just because you are not ready for the message. Respect the minds and ideas of others the same way you hope for yours to be respected. Do not be afraid to be corrected, ignorance is not a bad thing unless it is willful. We cannot ignore or deny facts. Don’t choose ignorance just because you’re scared to admit that you were misinformed. Don’t shame yourself for being “wrong”. Remember, we’re learning. Say it with me “I’m learning.” Give others this same grace as they are learning. Don’t allow the people who choose ignorance to ruffle your feathers today. Find peace in your own awareness and be grateful for the knowledge you possess because it truly is your power.

Virgo is associated with servitude. How can you help someone today? Who are you in service to? Are you allowing yourself to be served? Remember that being a servant is actually a position of power because those who are being served are at the servant's mercy. When someone is being served, they are putting a lot of trust into the servant to do something on their behalf. Being of service is an honor and great responsibility, take your duties seriously and respect the services provided by others. Whether you are receiving or giving a service, receiving or giving information, respect the person on the other side because you never know when the roles will be reversed.
