Astro for June 8, 2022

The moon enters Libra today at about 11:22am this morning EST. While the moon is right at the last degree of Virgo and the earliest degrees of Libra it forms a kite with some of the other planets. A kite in astrology is made up of 3 astrological bodies that form a grand trine to each other (a trine happens when planets are about 120 degrees apart, usually they are in signs that share the same element) and then one astrological body opposes one of the planets involved in the grand trine. It is demonstrated by the blue triangle with a red line running through it on the natal chart that is the cover picture for today’s blog.

So the Moon, Pluto, and Mercury form a grand earth trine together (until the Moon moves into Libra and disrupts a bit of the earth energy to bring in some air) and Neptune in Pisces opposes the moon, adding water to the mix. Usually, a grand trine represents ease of flow that doesn’t require a lot of action, which sometimes can lead to expectations for things to work out and a lack of effort. So when the opposition is added to make a kite, it brings some spice and pizzazz that urges us to come out of our comfort zone to take action. Since the opposition in the kite is specifically between Virgo moon and Pisces Neptune, it feels like we are being urged to put our imagination to work to elevate and improve our current situation. For the past few days in Virgo, you’ve probably been doing the logistics and planning but now it’s time to practice a little bit of surrender by leaning into our faith.

Now, surrendering is not equivalent to just letting whatever happen and not being an active participant in what happens today. Matter of fact, we must also consider that the Moon also opposes Jupiter who is at 4 degrees Aries. When I think of Jupiter in Aries I think of walking by and acting in faith, rather than sight. When we surrender we are really just acknowledging that we’ve done the physical work and we acknowledge we’ve done enough of that. Now, there’s nothing else to do but prepare ourselves mentally for what is to come as a result of our work. The art of detaching from the expectation of what exactly is the result of the work but believing that whatever it is will be great and we will be grateful for it. Walking by faith is acting as if whatever you want is already done and just waiting to be incorporated into your physical reality.

As the moon enters Libra today, we are going to feel inclined to pair up, seek justice, practice fairness, observe and indulge in the beauty of life, and be considerate of others. Now, this is all fine and dandy, however, the opposition from Aries Jupiter says don’t get caught up tryna do for others what you won’t do for self. Don’t let your need for company/fear of loneliness block you from pursuing the blessings and opportunities that are specifically for you. Jupiter is actually usually very much so the monarch of generosity, always willing to share, but while it’s in Aries its reminding us that everyone can’t go where we’re going. That’s not to say kick your friends to the curb, it’s just a reminder that certain things are only for you and your friends also have some opportunities that are specific to them. We can work alongside each other, but we cannot do the work for each other. We don’t have the same assignment so it’s not quite a group project but it’s definitely not a competition either.

Mercury is still in post retrograde forming a square to Saturn in retrograde, I would say be mindful of speaking too soon on your opportunities right now. This isn’t even about the evil eye or anything like that, more so just because plans can still change or it can put a lot of pressure on you to have so many people expecting a certain outcome. If you are someone who often finds yourself sharing prospective good news or telling your friends about your desires because you need their good energy, challenge yourself today to have faith in your own self that doesn’t need the validation of others. Moon in Libra represents a comfort zone that can be dependent upon other people. I know sometimes we all need reassurance but sometimes we depend on outside reassurance to the point that we never exercise that muscle for ourselves. Sometimes we need to be able to sit with our own faith and water it so that we can feel validated, hopeful, and believe in ourself just because we deserve that from ourselves, not because someone else told us it’s okay to.

Lean into your personal reservoir of faith, optimism, and self belief. You’ve been doing the work to get it done. The next step is to allow yourself to relax into your faith. Stop scrambling. Don’t overdo it. Don’t rush to tell someone else about the work you’ve done. Sit with the work. Reflect on what you’ve done, let this be something you have for yourself for once. Don’t judge the work, don’t look for flaws. Just let yourself and your ideas be for a moment. In the silence and the stillness the opportunity, the next step, the miracle, and more will reveal themselves to you. Don’t make movements for the sake of just doing something. When it’s time to do something else you will know. When it’s time for others to know, they will. Right now enjoy yourself, enjoy communion, enjoy beautiful things without the pressure to share, give, or do beyond what you have. Today, all you need is faith, your own reassurance, and good company that demands nothing of you but your authenticity and presence. That can be easier said than practiced but give yourself permission to not try and to just be. You’ll be surprised to where that can lead you.
