Saturn & Pluto Retrograde Report

Theme: Slowing down to acknowledge the past and reenvision a better future, without attachment to the present

As those of us in the Northern Hemisphere are enjoying the beginning of the Summer season and basking in the heat of the Sun, we must also turn our attention towards two of the other figures of authority and power in the sky Saturn and Pluto, both of whom will be in retrograde motion until the fall. Saturn is in retrograde in Pisces in the first decan and Pluto is in retrograde in the last decan of Saturn-ruled Capricorn. These two retrograding planets must be discussed in tandem because Pluto being in Saturn’s sign of rulership directly links the two.

Although it is summer and we may be high energy, we may find that some of our more long-term plans are moving a bit slower than we like due to the retrograde. Retrogrades bring a lot of reflection, revision, reevaluation, reconsideration, reminiscence, recollection, revitalization, repetition, reenactment, and reconsideration. There is a theme of the prefix “re-” which originates in Latin meaning again or back, as in to repeat or go backward. Retrogrades can make us feel like we are not making progress as it feels like we must retrace our steps. However, the growth is in being able to look backward with new insight that we didn’t have during the first walkthrough.

When it comes to Saturn being in retrograde the reflection we are doing is specifically in regards to our long-term goals, our discipline, what we are building, how we spend our time, our boundaries, our doubt, our elders, and our sense of accountability. This is a time when we are re-evaluating the work we’ve been putting in and how we feel about what has resulted from our efforts. This is when feelings of disappointment, pride, regret, or satisfaction arise in regard to what we have built. This is also when we consider what actions or habits need to change or be improved upon in order to create a better outcome. During this time, we are tweaking our formula so that we yield the end product we desire. We are assessing our current physical reality as the consequence of our previous actions and how closely it aligns with the future we are aiming for. We must ask ourselves, where do my current actions lead? Is this really the direction I want to go in?

Now, to take into account that Saturn is in Pisces we can get even more into the specification of this retrograde. Pisces is related to the collective (sub)consciousness, dreams, compassion, detachment from the physical, illusions, intuition, and spirituality. Saturn in Pisces is not quite in detriment however it’s definitely in foreign territory. Saturn is about structures and limitations presented by physicality and rigidity, on the other hand, Pisces is related to what is fluid, intangible, and beyond the present physical reality. Pisces is the uncontainable, limitless potential of our imagination and creativity. This is Saturn, measurer of the finite, in the land of Pisces’ infinite waters of imperceivable depth. However, it is important to have a sturdy vessel when we are exploring the depths of our subconscious waters. This Saturn retrograde in Pisces asks us to be a bit more grounded, intentional, and sure within our spiritual and creative practices and to take responsibility for the results of the times that we were not. It is a skill to go with the flow and not be completely taken over by it. There is a time to go with the flow and there is a time to create the flow. It takes discernment to know when to surrender and when to stand in your own authority. Often times we need to take charge in order to get the ball rolling and then trust in the law of inertia that once the ball is rolling we do not need to keep pushing it. Even if the ball stops rolling it's best to examine what obstacle caused the motion to come to a halt or friction that caused it to slow down so that when we are ready to push again we don’t run into the same issues and burnout from repetitive over-exertion. This retrograde can feel like the ball is slowing down or is no longer in motion but the point is not to panic, slowness and stagnancy are not inherently negative, quite frankly it’s pretty neutral but it depends on how we allow ourselves to make use of that time of slower motion.

Slow motion is an important component to mention when we talk about Saturn and Pluto. “Great things come to those who wait” and “good things take time” are cliches that we are all probably familiar with. I’m sure we can think of different circumstances in our lives where these statements have been proven to be true. However, time is a bit of an anomaly because although it is finite and measurable it is also infinite and immeasurable. We may be able to measure time and do our best to plan using time however we cannot predict what elements beyond our control will come of time as it passes. Saturn is related to how we work with time, how time ages us, and how we reckon with the fact that it will continue to move whether we do or not. Pluto, on the other hand, is more about how time transforms us and how beyond aging and maturing time is also related to death. Time can be a marker of endings and beginnings, which is Pluto’s realm of rulership.

Pluto is related to the aspects of time that we try to hide from such as death and what may be buried and then resurfaced over a long period of time. “What’s done in the dark comes to light” vibes but what is unenumerated in that statement is the inferred “over time.” Sometimes we bury the unsavory aspects of our history so deeply in hopes to forget about it or so that other people don’t find out about it. Yet, history can never fully remain hidden because it has been recorded somewhere. What we try to bury in our minds is stored and expressed in the body. This makes me think of the unflattering history of the United States which they want to bury by passing legislation that won’t allow critical race theory to be taught in school. However, evidence of that history is present everywhere in modern-day society. You can try to repress the facts but the effects are ever present and you cannot turn a blind eye to what is right in front of you. As this Pluto retrograde brings us back around the USA’s Pluto Return we may see more repetition of history coming to bite us in the butt. We see important legislation getting turned over, as some of our citizens are coming together to fight against it the energy is a bit polarized because there are those who would rather relive some of the unkind and unjust aspects of history.

As we live through continuous uncertainty with the future seemingly becoming more unclear by the day, we see some people who want to escape into the metaverse and that which is not grounded in physical reality. This is our time to slow down and order our steps so that we do not become so overwhelmed by the chaos that we need to escape reality. Even if we cannot be certain about the collective future and there is this ticking clock looming over us about the habitability of our precious planet, we must be grounded within our own sense of purpose and be clear about what we want to do with however much time we have left. It is important that we be present with the current circumstances with a sense of realism while being optimistic about our future and imagining one that is kind and inclusive to all of humanity. We have to imagine a better future while working within the present to do what is within our control to create this better future. Imagination and intention are just as important as disciplined action, they must work together. We cannot ignore the past at all but we don’t have to project it onto the future and allow it to repeat itself. Saturn retrograde in Pisces means we must include one another in our planning for the future, this is the time to brainstorm and work together. We are stronger together. It is not up to one person to save humanity, we all come together to create the Earth and we must consider one another now in a way we hadn’t before especially because there are more than enough people on this Earth who are more than willing to ignore the needs of others.

We must mature together as a collective. In the wise words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, “An injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Saturn is related to karma and justice. What side of justice do you hope to be on? How can we each do our best to fight for justice on behalf of the members of our community who do not have the opportunity to fight for themselves? Who and what are you fighting for? What is your technique or mode of combat in this fight for justice? The fight is not just in physical warfare. It is physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional. What is your role in the revolution? Artists are just as important as doctors are just as important as mystics are just as important as organizers are just as important as teachers and so on and so forth. It is more about your intention and commitment than it is your skill level. Pluto’s retrograde in Capricorn asks that we persevere with relentless effort (at a sustainable pace because this is a marathon, not a race) even when we want to give up hope. Saturn’s retrograde in Pisces asks that we do our best to stay grounded in our faith that things can improve even if it takes time. There is power in patience and sustained effort. There are infinite possibilities that live in uncertainty we just have to stay focused on the possible outcomes that we want even when they look unlikely.

Saturn retrograding back to the 0 degree of Pisces while Pluto has retrograded from Aquarius back into the last decan of Capricorn represents the conclusion of certain aspects of our capitalist society as we know it while ushering in a new era of collective spirituality, compassion, and connectedness. We are moving away from individualism as we see that it doesn’t benefit us as much as we thought. The winner and loser-mentality that has divided us is now coming into perspective as we realize that “winning” is about saving humanity as a whole. These retrogrades are a time that allows us to wake up to revelations about just how corrupt our society is and how we no longer want to be complicit to the corruption or have blind faith in systems that we never should have believed in anyway. No longer can the wool be pulled over our eyes. No longer do we have the luxury of feigning ignorance or choosing distraction over action.

It is time to stand tall in our faith even when physical reality may inspire doubt within us. It is time to take reconsider and revoke the power and confidence we have put into these institutions and acknowledge the power within the people and what we can accomplish when we pool our resources, creativity, talents, and ideas together. It is time that we acknowledge the responsibility we have for one another and to the greater good of humanity. We must also acknowledge there are errors we have made along the way based on the beliefs that have been programmed into us by these unjust institutions. It takes patience and compassion for ourselves and others to unlearn, relearn, and pass on the knowledge.

We have given power and authority to the government, corporations, and elders for so long with the expectation that they will protect us. We must realize that there is more abuse of power happening than actual protection. We are allowed to question the systems we have put our trust in. We are allowed to speak up about what is owed to us. If they are not willing to settle their debt then we must accept that it is up to us as a people to take back our power and prioritize our best interest. We must accept the responsibility we have for each other and realize that no one else will take care of us but us.

Without further ado, here are the horoscopes for each of the risings during the Saturn and Pluto Retrograde:

(This horoscope is based on the whole sign house system. If you use the Placidus house system AND you have a late degree ascendant consider reading the horoscope for your rising sign and the following sign as it may be accurate to what houses the transits are taking place for you.)

Aries Rising:

For Aries Rising, Pluto is Retrograding in your 10th house and Saturn is Retrograding in your 12th house. You may be experiencing death and rebirth in relation to the goals you have been working towards, the legacy you’re building, and your long-term ideals about your life. Furthermore, it can feel like this death and rebirth stems from assessing what lies deep in your subconscious to see the root of what drives you and what inhibits you. You are doing a deep dive investigation of what your purpose is and what it means to live a purposeful life as it pertains to the tiny details that add up to make the bigger picture. You may be experiencing deep dissatisfaction in your current career if the work you do feels like it’s not true for you but for an image or false sense of security. You may be confronted with the way your fear has led you away from fulfillment towards a life that feels a bit empty despite it looking full and powerful to others. You start to realize that maybe the power you felt before was just coming from the sense of pride you felt from other people’s projection of approval for your work rather than your own feelings about it. You are coming to terms with the restrictions you have placed on yourself that have dissuaded you from pursuing your truest calling. It is important to take the time and space during these retrogrades to be vulnerable about the ways you have been your biggest hater. You can take accountability for your fearful behavior while also being compassionate with the part of you that has been afraid. Ease your fears and worries by being assured that you made it so far in a field or job that you weren’t passionate about, imagine how far you can go with your work ethic when it is matched with actual passion and love for what you’re doing.

Taurus Rising:

For Taurus Rising, Pluto is retrograding through your 9th house while Saturn is retrograding through your 11th house. You may be experiencing death and rebirth in regard to the structure of your faith in connection to the reflection and revision of your greatest sense of aspirations for the world. You are experiencing more social awareness and a feeling of responsibility to your community. You may be reevaluating the community and network that you are a part of how and much they align with the goals you have. As you acknowledge your part in the greater collective you realize that some of the goals you have must be achieved within a network that is founded on shared goals and interests. Faith is made stronger when you see others around you who really believe in what you believe in just as strongly as you do. You also may have to address when you are the one casting doubt on the plans of the group. Rather than isolating when you feel like you are not matching the energy of the group don’t be afraid to ask for assistance in being lifted up so that you can rise to the occasion. This is a time to lean on your peers and community members and to let them know they can lean on you too. Every disagreement or difference in approach isn’t a signal of disharmony as much as it is a signal that more communication and work needs to be done to create a vision that is inclusive of everyone’s needs and ideas. Your community may be helping you to create greater spiritual discipline and get more organized in your faith by holding you accountable by holding you to your promise to intentionally serve your community. If you want to show up for the world and make change it requires that you show up for yourself first. If you feel like the spiritual community you have been hoping for hasn't shown up yet consider the people in your sphere now that you know are not in alignment with your spirit and let them go in peace. Be sure that in the process of releasing them, you are also honest about and willing to let go of the version of you that attracted them in the first place. Have grace for yourself and them in the midst of outgrowing them, it's okay to let people go on good terms you don’t have to wait until there’s bad blood, if they just don’t fit they just don’t fit and it's nothing against them. They just can’t go with you. Be willing to detach from morals, ethics, and beliefs you adopted and adapted to in order to move into a space where you can cultivate your own system of belief that is influenced by your most authentic truth and that empowers you rather than confines you.

Gemini Rising:

For Gemini Rising, Pluto is retrograding through your 8th house while Saturn retrograde is moving through your 10th house. Your relationship with death and grief may come more into focus during this time. You may have to come to terms with the idea that everything ends one day but what do you want to do until then? You may need to come to terms with your fear of change or maybe even your fear of things never changing. The idea of impermanence may scare or comfort you at this time to know that you will not be stuck in the same predicament forever but also the things and people you love will also not be around forever. You may be reckoning with the unfortunate truth that certain pillars and people of stability in your life will not always be there for you to lean on but it can help to know that the wisdom and feelings they have given you will remain with you beyond their physical expiration. This can feel like an overwhelming transformational time in which you are getting more serious about your sense of purpose and what being of service to the public means to you. You want your purpose to be more spiritual than physical but you are also recognizing that the physical and the spiritual are in their own ways interconnected. You are understanding just how impactful the essence of your spirit is and how you can translate that into your work even deeper than you already have. You are on a journey of regaining power and authority over what scares you. You may be accepting that everyone has an expiration date, even you, and pondering on what you’d like to leave behind whenever you go. You probably understand better than anyone that it’s not just about leaving behind things. You want a legacy that is felt by people on a soul level. You want a legacy that is the manifestation of your greatest potential and your wildest dreams. You are coming to understand what it truly takes to attain that and that your dreams are not as wild as you think. You have the authority to decide what your life will amount to but first, you have to truly understand the responsibility and power you hold. It’s time to sit with your ideas, listen to them, meditate on them, and let the map of your journey unfold in your mind’s eye, and then when it is time you will know when it is time to actually get up and begin the navigation towards your goals. It’s okay to rest for a moment to really gather the tools you need because the journey is long you need to be prepared to have the endurance to see it through.

Cancer Rising:

For Cancer Rising, Pluto is retrograding through your 7th house while Saturn’s retrograde is transiting through your 9th house. It may feel like you are going through a death and rebirth in regard to your relationships or that grief is coming up from the experiences of past relationships. You may be faced with painful recollections of your past relationships or feel like you are finally coming to terms with some of the hurt you endured in relationships. You are reckoning with the autonomy that other people have and relinquishing the need to control other people and their actions. You may also be facing the reality that you have been giving others too much control over you by giving away your power via bitterness, resentment, or paranoia. You are coming to terms with the accountability of some of the ways you acted out of character in relationships or facing the music about some of your immature actions that were an attempt to get back at others. Do not take this as an opportunity to punish or be ashamed of yourself rather than be honest about your mistakes and that it is within your control not to repeat them. You are coming to terms with the way some of your paranoia, pessimism, or lack of trust in relationships is a projection of your own insecurities rather than a reflection of your current reality. The harsh reality is that even in shared spaces and within relationships you cannot completely blame others for how you feel and that there is still more work to be done in regards to your ability to emotionally regulate in the presence of others. People can influence how you feel and the quality of people you interact with matters, but your ability to practice emotional maturity during conflict is just as important. You have to face the results of unhealthy past relationships in order to cultivate new healthy relationships now and in the future. Beyond your own personal relationship experience you are also investigating how other people’s relationships that you witnessed have also impacted your own relationship rhetoric. Other people’s unfortunate experiences don’t need to be projected onto your relationship, you can be mindful and cautious without being fearful and self-isolating. Reclaim your power by knowing that you can only control your end of the deal and it is not your job to predict or constantly be hypervigilant about protecting yourself from other people’s actions. Part of repairing your personal relationships or healing from past ones is having more faith in and grace for humanity. Are you expecting perfection from people? Would you want someone to demand perfection from you? You may be learning to have more compassion and understanding for differences in worldview and opinion, allowing it to be a teachable moment of tolerance rather than more reason to spread judgment and intolerance. Most things in life are subjective; there is no right way to be or live, but it is definitely within your right to invite people who align with your lifestyle. However, remember that sometimes being exposed to differences in opinion can lead to growth, greater awareness, and a more expansive perspective.

Leo Rising:

For Leo Rising, Pluto is retrograding through your 6th house while Saturn’s retrograde motion is taking place in your 8th house. Old habits truly do die hard and it may feel like they are dying a thousand painfully slow deaths. You may be breaking up with your bad habits in order to elevate your lifestyle but remember not to rush the process. In order to quit a habit it’s helpful to pick up a new habit to replace it with. Whether you choose to go cold turkey or ween yourself off of it have grace for yourself, consider reinforcements or friends to lean on when it feels too hard. With Saturn as the ruler of your 6th house currently in your 8th house consider the deeply buried roots that were the cause of these “bad” habits. Don’t succumb to shame for the habits either as you probably adopted these habits as a form of survival, coping, or softening the blow of your experience. If you were using certain habits to avoid the pain consider creating space and time in your life in which you can address the pain or secrets safely and privately without being rushed. If it feels like up until this point you haven’t been taking the best care of yourself consider who taught you what care looked like. Who took care of you? What did their version of care feel like to you? It might be time to investigate and inquire within yourself about how you need to be taken care of. Have you ever really asked yourself what you need? Or have you just allowed outside influences to tell you what you’re allowed to have? It's time that you slow down and really lean into listening to your body and your intuition about what your needs are rather than just convincing yourself that you aren’t allowed to need anything. It’s time to put the distractions down and surrender to the discomfort. Every emotion is a path somewhere. When you are not avoiding them where can they lead you? Have you considered that your discomfort may deliver you a greater sense of security within yourself once you decide to confront it? Or maybe facing your shame can lead to unshakable confidence when you embrace your fear of it?

Virgo Rising:

For Virgo Rising, Pluto’s retrograde in Capricorn is moving through your 5th house while Saturn’s retrograde in Pisces takes place in your 7th house. Themes of creativity, pleasure, romance, and relationships may take precedence during these retrogrades. Pluto’s retrograde in your 5th house can inspire you to confront fears, paranoia, and obsession over criticism and judgment that stop you from leaning into creativity and pleasure. You are doing a deep exploration into what you authentically enjoy and what unpoliced pleasure looks and feels like for you. You are opening yourself up to the depths of sensuality and pleasure in your life by removing the shame you feel in relation to being imperfect. The point of art and pleasure is not to be perfect but to just be present in your expression. You are letting go of the worry about people seeing you in your joy. Allowing yourself to experience joy is an act of vulnerability. You do not have to carry the fear that someone is going to steal your joy or tell you that you are undeserving of it. Consider that there are people who’d rather join your parade than rain on it. Don’t be afraid to invite people into your space who could contribute to your creativity and pleasure. It can help to understand the amount of access you feel comfortable extending to people. Boundaries are set in order to be closer to people in a way that feels safe to you. If you are in relation to people who make you feel unsafe or fearful of their judgment it’s time to reconsider the relationship or the boundaries of it. Also, consider how your own doubts and assumptions about people may be making you believe that they will judge you which stops you from even giving them the chance to show you something different. Ask yourself what you want out of the relationships in your life. Then, ask yourself if you’ve even offered people the space to show up for you in the way you desire. What purpose do you want the relationships in your life to serve? What is the objective of the connection? Are you showing up as your full self in your relationships? Do the relationships in your life contribute to your pleasure or are they founded on your facade of perfection?

Libra Rising:

For Libra Rising, Pluto’s retrograde in Capricorn is taking place in your 4th house while Saturn in Pisces is retrograde through your 6th house. You may be experiencing the grief of coming to terms with the fact that your expectations of your family and home life were not met. There is also the possibility that you are shedding the expectations placed on you by your family or even expectations you placed on yourself at a young age as a result of how you grew up. The death of these expectations of who you should’ve or could’ve been will allow you to be reborn into the acceptance and security of who you are right now. You may be coming to terms with where you came from without judgment and how it is the foundation for where you are going. There is a deep transformation taking place within you emotionally and within your home space. You are choosing to detach from a certain aspect of perceived security, stability, and safety that has \ been a hindrance to you in reality. You may be seeing the ways in which you allowed yourself to stay comfortable in an uncomfortable situation for too long. Emotions that you have shoved down for a long time are rising to the surface leaving you with no choice but to acknowledge them once and for all. You cannot act unbothered toward what has been eating at you any longer. You are also coming to understand the ways in which your home life, whether current or of the past, has been impacting the lifestyle you have allowed yourself. You recognize the ways in which you have allowed your power to be siphoned by certain situations or emotions which has impacted the energy you have been able to give to your own responsibility to and care of yourself. You want to make up for the time you lost from taking care of everyone but you by pouring more meaningful use of your time into your current routine. It is time to create more space for discipline and dedication to yourself without having to consider how everyone else will feel about it. You come to understand that ultimately the ways in which you serve your own needs allow you to better be of service to the people who actually deserve your time. Ultimately though, you deserve your own time, attention, and prioritization of your well-being more than anyone else deserves endless access to you. It may be time to come to terms with the ways in which you have been a safe space for others but not for yourself. It is time to rebuild your own safe space and implement greater boundaries so that you don’t allow other people to rob you of your safety and time any longer.

Scorpio Rising:

For Scorpio Rising, Pluto’s retrograde motion through Capricorn is taking place in your 3rd house while Saturn’s retrograde in Pisces takes place in your 5th house. Pluto is the ruler of your chart so you may be even more sensitive to its retrograde than most other people. Your chart ruler currently retrograding in your third house is bringing focus to your mental health and cognition. This may be a time when you are acquiring knowledge that gives you a better understanding of who you are and how it impacts your relationship with your environment. You may also be considering the impact you want to have on your community as you get more comfortable with who you are and the knowledge you have to offer. Grief from a loss in your community could inspire you to take action to protect and show up with care for your neighborhood. Saturn in your 5th house brings more certainty about what you enjoy and the determination to include more of your passions in your life. You may be considering how you can share your art with your community maybe even considering offering classes, workshops, or activities to your community to teach people new ways to express themselves, especially after grief. You are reclaiming your power by embracing the ways that you learn and communicate after maybe feeling disempowered by trying to force yourself to learn and communicate within the boxes that other people expected you to fit in. You are looking at your local environment from the lens of creating intimate connections with members of your community that you had overlooked before or who are neglected by the community in general. You may be taking part in community outreach initiatives or wanting to have more hand in community legislation as you feel frustrated with the ways people in power are abusing their power and not acting in the interest of the community. You are considering the children in your community and how they are impacted by the decisions of the adults. Or you are thinking about your inner child and how you can be a gracious authority figure and advocate for its needs. You are someone who can often take a pragmatic approach to things but maybe you can open up to mental collaboration with people who have more idealistic views to understand how hope and realism can meet in the middle to make greater change. Don’t sleep on the way fun, art, and ease can be just as impactful in the pursuit of change. Sometimes people need to understand that despite “bad” news and the world’s current state of despair they still have the right to foster personal joy. That personal joy can deliver us greater hope and motivation to lead us to a better future. Just because it looks all bad doesn’t mean that it actually has to be that way. Even if the sky is falling maybe we can marvel at its beauty before the crash and then make a beautiful mosaic of the broken pieces in the aftermath.

Sagittarius Rising:

For Sagittarius Rising, Pluto’s retrograde in Capricorn takes place in your 2nd house while Saturn in Pisces is retrograding through your 4th house. You may be going through a transformation to your income and finances. It may feel like you took a great loss and you are unsure of how you can recover. You could be feeling quite unstable and insecure. Do not let this alteration in finances be a blow to your own perceived self-worth. This might be an opportunity for you to change your value system and place more importance on your own innate value and the worth of your internal resources and talents. You are probably sitting on a gold mine that you have been overlooking by downplaying your talent or not investing in your gifts. You may also be going through a shift that has affected your relationship to your skills it could feel like after time away from your craft you have regressed. Yet, it could be helpful to consider that the time away has given you a clean slate, a new perspective, and an improved approach to your work. Allow yourself to try again without judgment or expectation to measure up to your skill level from before and give yourself the chance to be amazed by your efforts as an experienced amateur. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and guidance from people who have more experience and consistent practice in your craft. Be open to the praises and compliments from the people who have always supported your pursuit of your gifts they will remind you of the talent that you feel is lost. Your loss of focus is not a reflection of your loss of skill. If you need help due to financial burdens or low self-esteem, do not feel shame or like you are a helpless charity case. Recall times when you were in a better space and you were willing to help others. You deserve the same kindness and encouragement that you give out to others. You have put out a lot of good energy in the world and you have the right to let it flow back to you. Life is cyclical, embrace every place in the cycle without feeling embarrassed during the “lows”. It’s okay to take accountability for what has led you to different parts of your journey without feeling judgment for the journey. Ultimately, certain experiences are inevitable and part of the human experience. Don’t judge your humanity. Sometimes you will be the one to help those in need and sometimes you will be the one in need of help. This is just the natural ebb and flow of being human. Be present in it and keep these times in mind to experience gratitude when you are back on top. Be soft with yourself and allow yourself to fall into the arms of those who are willing to create a soft safe space for you when you are unable to be that for yourself. Put down your criticisms of yourself and pick up your self-compassion.

Capricorn Rising:

For Capricorn Rising, Pluto’s retrograde in Capricorn takes place in your 1st house and Saturn in Pisces retrogrades through your 3rd house. You are experiencing the death of the idea of the isolated self in order to allow yourself to become more integrated into and connected with your community. Sometimes exile is a choice and being an outcast is a cop-out to avoid connection. It’s okay to admit that you crave a sense of belonging rather than convincing yourself that it’s something you’ll never be granted. Open yourself up to the idea that even if you haven’t found “your people” just yet it doesn’t mean you never will. You are learning more mature and compassionate ways to communicate your needs. There is a space between sugarcoating and brutal honesty that allows you to consider your needs and your delivery in order to be fair to yourself and others. You are allowed to have needs and you are allowed to express them. Even if it feels like your needs and thoughts are abstract and sometimes difficult for you to understand that doesn’t mean they can’t be made simple. Oftentimes, we overcomplicate things in our minds because we are afraid that we are too much or that we are asking too much. You are not too much and your need for community is not unattainable. You don’t have to be alone unless you want to but don’t choose loneliness out of fear of rejection. When you do that you reject yourself, people who mean you well, and opportunities that could be life-changing. Solitude can be beautiful but going too far into isolation can be dangerous and ostracizing. Allow yourself to verbalize your vulnerability this season and watch the connections that bloom from the expressions of your thoughts and feelings. Acknowledge how past misunderstandings have prevented you from seeking understanding from others in the present. There are people currently in your life and even in the world whom you haven’t met yet who do want to understand you but you just have to give them the opportunity. Your words don’t have to be perfect they just have to be authentic. Speak up and you will be heard by the right people who will give you the feedback of reassurance that you deserve. It’s okay to admit your own confusion and know that someone out there may have the answers you seek. Although you may often be the person with the plan open yourself up to the possibility that someone else can match your ideas or contribute great wisdom. You’re not the only one with expansive knowledge ;) A new perspective from an unlikely source might just spark the change and enlightenment you have been seeking.

Aquarius Rising:

For Aquarius Rising, Pluto’s retrograde in Capricorn takes place in your 12th house while Saturn in Pisces is in retrograde motion through your 2nd house. During this retrograde season, you are reckoning with the power of your dreams and subconscious and how that is reflected back to you in your physical and conscious reality. You may be feeling quite sensitive and intuitive to the state of the collective. Realizations may be arising about how tradition and societal pressures have been affecting you subconsciously, despite the fact that consciously you do not succumb to them. You are aware of the ways you have become a social pariah not of your own will. How can you accept your role in society without feeling stripped of your power? Even if you don’t want to acquiesce that doesn’t mean you have to drain your energy by fighting against the system without a true cause or end goal. Don’t just fight for the sake of fighting, hone in on what you’re fighting for and become more disciplined in your stance. You are meant to be a rebel with a cause. You are focusing on the slow development of your craft and talent. You are learning to balance being grounded in your craft without feeling limited in your abilities. Don’t let a lack of resources cause you to ignore your limitless potential. You have profound abilities of innovation to make up for what you feel you lack in proper training or resources. Artistic development doesn’t have to look the same for everyone, especially when you are exploring a lane that doesn’t already have an established curriculum. You can allow your own intuitive wisdom to lead you without second-guessing its credibility. Your spiritual guides and internal messages are credible and it’s not something you have to prove to anyone else. Your self-esteem and worth come from your ability to believe in and validate yourself even if other people aren’t ready to. It’s up to you to accredit yourself and then other people will follow suit based on your confidence and certainty of self. It is your path to officiate yourself and your craft, no one else is coming to knight you and the longer you wait and deny your own right to do so the longer you delay your own journey.

Pisces Rising:

For Pisces Rising, Pluto in Capricorn’s retrograde is transiting through your 11th house while Saturn’s retrograde in Pisces is underway in your 1st house. You are deeply investigating the root of your worldly aspirations and how empowered or disempowered you feel in your ability to achieve them. You are confronted with your hope, or lack thereof, for a better future for the world at large. You should consider the power of your hope and your ability to be a leader or facilitator within your community. Examine the way your fear, distrust, and selectiveness close you off from willing allies who could be of benefit to you and the people in the same intersection as you. This may be a time of learning discernment to find the balance between being too closed off and too accessible. You are understanding the power of responsible and meaningful collaboration. As you come into a space of wanting to share more of yourself with others you are learning to do so in a way that is healthy and doesn’t feel like it jeopardizes your own sense of safety within self. You are making the effort to lean into your existence as a fluid being but from a more stable and secure space so as to not get lost in a limbo of identity crisis. You are gaining a sense of groundedness in who you are that may help you realize that all versions of how you show up are valid and don’t have to be a threat to who you are internally. Your security in yourself is helping to ease the discomfort you felt in the past with other people’s inability to perceive you in your entirety. If they can’t understand it is not your job to overexplain or attempt to make yourself more legible. If they can’t get a read on you that is a reflection of their inability to understand the fullness of their own being. They just don’t have the range and that is not your problem. Allow yourself to show up in ways that feel authentic to you at the moment with no fear about how other people may attach themselves to or interpret your current presentation. Don’t force yourself into a restricting position for anyone else. Reflect on and make peace with the times that you have accepted roles that did not fit you. Let this be your reminder of why it is so important now for you to take up space and to show up fully in any space that you are in. Give thanks to the community in your life who shows up to celebrate you and let them help you shed and grieve the heaviness of those in the past who were ignorant of the occasion. Don’t shy away when the people in your current community call you to the front to lead. You are ready. It is time for you to become the person you always wanted someone else to be for you and offer that to others. The people in your life now will not ask more of you than you can give and even as you lead they will be beside you looking after you as you look ahead for them.
