Neptune
Neptune is the planet that is all about things not of this realm, all this is unseen by the human eye. It deals with the ascension above the physical realm into the spiritual and detachment from material possessions. Neptune also rules the ways in which we attempt to escape from physical reality, via drugs, fantasy, vices, and other distractions. Lies, illusions, and all forms of deception are ruled by Neptune because they too are out of alignment with reality. When we lie or are told lies it takes away from what actually is real and true.
Neptune rules healing and acceptance, components of spirituality. Neptune in mythology (equivalent to Poisedon) rules bodies of water, lakes, rivers, the sea, and underground streams. Water can be healing. Water accepts the form of whatever container it is in. This is a lesson for us to accept whatever situation we are placed in. Neptune ruled the deepest part of the ocean. There are many things hidden in the depths of the ocean. As humans, we are not even close to uncovering all the mysteries of the bottom of the ocean. In the same way, Neptune rules what is buried deep in our unconscious. The things we hide from others and even ourselves.
Water is a source of healing but it is also possible to drown in deep water. On one hand, Neptune does rule healing but on the other hand, it also rules self-undoing and self-limiting beliefs. Before we can accept and heal what we hide behind the curtain it can hold us back and cause us to self-sabotage. Neptune rules limitless creativity and imagination, which can be used as a form of escapism as mentioned earlier. However, creativity and imagination are channels of and products of healing. They allow us to filter our pain into something so beautiful that can inspire others. When we reach a point of true acceptance of self and our life’s circumstances we can truly be fluid and allow our imagination to roam free.
