Astro for June 2, 2022

This is the last day before Mercury stations direct tomorrow. Mercury is experiencing quite a few aspects right now. Check back to the report from May 31st, in there I talk a bit about Mercury’s aspects to Pluto & Neptune which we will be experiencing well into June.

For today’s report, let’s focus a bit on Mercury’s square from Saturn in Aquarius right now. Saturn in Aquarius makes me think of having high stakes in the future, something that we are building towards that we know we won’t see the fruits of any time super soon. Mercury retrograde in Taurus represents our comfort zone of thinking, especially the retrograde motion being in relation to the deep-rooted ways of thinking that were necessary for our comfort in the past. Thoughts that focus on what we do and don’t have right now. The will to relentlessly protect what we know to be right, just, and so. We have to consider that all the parts from our old foundation can’t go into the new foundation.

The sugar-coated language that dances around the truth, that dances around the inevitable won’t cut it anymore. Saturn in Aquarius challenges Mercury in Taurus to speak from an honest place that centers growth and revolution over contentedness with something that we know can be better. Neptune’s sextile to Mercury still allows us to speak from a place of empathy and a healthy sense of detachment that helps us not be so triggered by words. This Mercury/Saturn square feels like it will be the final major lesson and application of knowledge from the retrograde. Over the next few days, we will be shown the growth and maturation that we gained over the course of the retrograde. This can look like events popping up now that are a result of or similar to events you experience at the beginning of or prior to the retrograde. Saturn transits usually are a test of our discipline, accountability, patience, and self-authority.

Stick to that promise you made to yourself. Stick with that routine you came up with. Stick with that new lifestyle change you made. Don’t talk yourself out of the goals you set for yourself. Don’t get caught up thinking about what you weren't able to accomplish in the past. The past is not here to haunt us. If life experience is the best teacher, then our past is the professor and head of our grad program. Allow yourself to reflect fondly and with grace on some of your mishaps and missteps. Remember how the world didn’t end that time you thought it would? Or any of those times anybody thought it would? That’s what life is like when we “fuck up” it feels like the world will end… and then it just doesn’t. So, think of all the things that were hard that you did anyway, and find that same strength and dedication today. At some point, the day that is today was a day in the future and soon the day that is today will be in the past. Time will continue this way, no matter what. Don’t be afraid to mess up because mess ups won’t cause the time to stop or end. Don’t harp on the mess-ups because that won’t cause time to stop or allow you to go back. All we have is now and our current hope for the future and our current interpretive memory of the past. Either way, you have to experience the present. Do you want to be present in the present or project on the present? Time is not linear but it also doesn’t regress. So soon, the future will be the past. Mess up while you can, the point is that you always can be because you can always recover, time allows us the space to at least do that.

Don’t let those Mercurial mess-ups stop you from meeting your goals.
