Astro for June 5, 2o22

Today, the Moon in the last decan of Leo opposes Saturn in Aquarius, whom we know began retrograde motion yesterday. We still have Mercury sitting in the same spot since it ended retrograde as it starts to pick up more speed to continue at its normal pace. So Mercury is included in the mix as it forms a square to both the Moon and Saturn. In astrology, when one planet squares two planets it forms an aspect pattern known as a T-square. Squares and oppositions in astrology represent tension, challenge, contrasts, and an abundance of energy that can be stagnant/at a standstill and requires our activation. The combination of these two aspects to form this specific aspect pattern only intensifies the energy I just mentioned.

We must keep in mind that in a square or opposition the planets are in signs that differ in element but share the same modality. So the modality that these 3 planets have in common is the fixed modality. Fixed signs represent signs that are associated with sustaining, upholding, and preserving. This is because when the Sun is in a fixed sign it is in the middle of the season. Cardinal signs start the season. Fixed signs are the continuation of the season, when you’re really in the season, experiencing the real weather of the season. Mutable signs end the season and begin the transition phase into the next season. So, this gives an idea of why Fixed signs are seen as “stubborn” they are fixed in place. Fixed isn’t transitional or fluid. Fixed just is. Fixed energy is just slower to change sometimes, more than anything they inspire change in other people. This isn’t to say fixed energy is stagnancy but fixed energy more so represents a sureness of will, when we are in a fixed sign season we are sure of the season we are in because there is no mistaking the weather. Fixed energy is all about standing rooted in place, being solid, and only changing when you are ready when it’s worth it because when you are grounded in place its only worth deconstructing and reconstructing when its big changes to be made. It’s like moving houses is stressful, people only move every so often because picking up everything you have settled into is a lot of work and only is to be done when absolutely necessary. The fixed sign energy is like if it's not broken don’t fix it, I’ll fix it or replace it but only once it's truly broken.

If we factor in the Lunar Nodes' involvement in the situation, we actually get another aspect pattern including the Moon and Saturn, that leaves Mercury out. The Lunar Nodes always oppose each other but they are also square to the Moon and Saturn, who we know oppose each other. So when we deal with 2 oppositions, that result in 4 squares, we get the aspect pattern that is known as the Grand Cross. So, once again more of that tense energy that we need to activate. This Grand Cross including all 4 of the fixed signs, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius can have us feeling kinda stuck but on the brink of something huge, bigger than us. There could be a lot of intense emotions that feel trapped inside us. Saturn in retrograde has us contemplating a lot about the direction of our lives and how we can get our shit together. The Nodes bring more intention to purpose and life’s mission. The moon is the fastest moving astrological body so it affects us more personally with such day-to-day influence. This aspect brings all of these topics about our life as a whole bearing down on us today. You can’t fit fulfillment of purpose, dedication, and entire life remodel into a day. You don’t have to have it all figured out today. You don’t have to feel pressured to perform, show others what you are capable of, or prove how likely you are to reach your long-term goals.

It’s not your job to convince anyone. If you feel like you have to convince someone else of your value, talents, and capabilities that’s just the projection of your own uncertainty of self. Stop tryna sell yourself to other people. You are not for sale. You are not on display. Remember how teachers used to say “the bell does not dismiss you, I do.” We can transform that personal power “The clock does not move me, I do.” This just means that there is no rush to figure things out. Don’t put yourself on a deadline that isn’t actually required of you. Accept things will naturally move at the pace that they do. When you rush you end up missing the journey. You can’t rush this fixed energy. This isn’t to say put in no effort, but more like be more intentional with the effort and enjoy this slower pace. Be intentionally still as necessary. Intentional movement is better than speed. If you’re gonna get there either way and the view will be the same when you get there, the timing doesn’t matter. The opportunity that is for you await you. When you are ready the thing you were waiting for will arrive because it was waiting for you.

If you’re not where you wanna be right now embrace that. Sometimes we aren’t granted things until the moment we can actually appreciate it and maintain it. Be honest, if you had what you were asking for right now, would you be able to keep it, handle it, and really value and appreciate it the way you deserved? Have you taken the time to actually learn more about what it is you’re asking for? Have you done your research to be sure that you want it? Do you know why you want it? Today is an opportunity to be still enough to guarantee that we have our next steps mapped out or at least a sense of direction if not a clear plan just yet. If you’ve come to terms with knowing where you don’t want to be and you feel strongly about that, then you need to be very sure and passionate about where you want to be.

Today feels like taking a moment to sit with our compass just to make sure we know where we are right now and what we need to be moving towards. We are at a cross road between home/where we’ve been (the moon & the south node) and where we are headed (Saturn and the North Node). Saturn talks about purpose in relation to worldly ambitions and what we physically want to build and sustain in this life. The North Node relates more to the purpose of the soul. The moon relates to home and history when it comes to our emotions and even our physical reality at home. The South Node is more so about the history of our soul, what we’re coming from that goes past our existence in this lifetime. So this crossroad deviates even further from physical/tangible purpose and history to soul purpose and parts of our journey that is so deeply ingrained in us we might not be aware of it. Today’s energy feels very much like a time for us to figure out how we can align physical purpose with soul purpose. So that we don’t feel like we have to fight against the physical to maintain our soul or that we don’t have to be at odds with our soul to acquire tangible success. We are dealing with really heavy topics, things that we were so sure of before our now starting to look less certain. That fixed energy where change isn’t as simple as dissolving but instead change means uprooting, taking things apart brick by brick and then having the construct the next thing in the same way. It’s not simple. It doesn’t feel easy. But its so necessary it’s so worth it and it is so purposeful.

Can’t forget about my dawg Mercury in the cut in Taurus, I mentioned Mercury earlier then got sidetracked with my tangent about the fixed signs lol. Mercury comes to make sure that we are fully informed before we commit to our next decision. That’s the research I mentioned earlier. Before something is manifested in the physical it has to start as an idea. Mercury and the North Node are about 5 degrees apart in Taurus so that gives a nice cozy, close distance to each other but not too close. Yet close enough that Mercury is informed with a bit more intuition and premonition rather than just plain old logic. Today might feel like hearing whispers of reassurance from our future selves. Don’t let these whispers make you impatient to get there but instead let them reassure you that you will get there and that where you are right now is still on the path and exactly where you need to be :)

Today’s post was a lot longer than the previous ones and was a bit more rambly than yesterday’s. I hope it all still made sense tho <3 hmu and lmk what you think. Even if you wanna talk about it in retrospect once the day has passed. I’d love to hear from you. I know people have been reading it but I haven’t gotten much direct feedback. Even if its a critique I am so open. Its just nice to know someone took the time to read it and cares enough to discuss it. No pressure tho. I know you’ll reach out when you’re ready when it's time

P.S.- This was something that came to me once I finished I was gonna try to stick it somewhere in the report but it doesn’t fit so ill let it stand here on its own:

Your life isn’t over, today isn’t judgment day. You don’t have to count yourself out or count your losses before the match is over. Boxing matches have 12 rounds, you could lose the first 5 rounds and redeem yourself, shit you can be getting your ass handed to you in the first 11 rounds but as long as you don’t quit you can come in that 12th round knock a mofo out and still have victory. As long as you are alive with breath in your body there is still an opportunity for redemption. You have not lost. You have not failed. You still have more tries. If you’re feeling down for the count that’s okay rest, watch, learn, observe, reflect, and nurse your wounds until you feel ready to stand again. Take whatever time you need but do not accept defeat. You are the champion of your life, no matter how this match is looking the fight is not ovet.

I’m such a metaphor making ass nigga.
